Damn... Some ass-hole robbed Gamestop right out from under my nose today... Literally. He stole a DSI, out from under my nose... This is the second time he has shown his face there and stolen something. The first time he got out with a PS3 slim.
He came in looking for a DS for his "daughter"... I don't think he even has a daughter... It wasn't in our system so we had to ring it up by scanning the box (we started just typing in the SKU and scan of the serial number since he had gotten away with the PS3) He was talking to me, then just took the DSI and walked out.
I yelled for him to stop and he simply said "Sorry, man, but I have to steal it." I almost jumped the counter and tackled the ass hole... Kinda wish I had...
It wasn't until afterward that we realized who he was...

shoulda tackled him. or called the police. or threw a box of games at him, miss, and he takes it in addition to the DS.

We called the police. I tried to get his License plate, but he moved too fast... And I decided against tackling him because I thought 'you know what? he may have a gun, and frankly, I'm not going to take that risk to save a DSi.'
My manager said that, had he recognised the guy when he came in he would have jumped the counter, locked the door and taken him down when the guy attacked him to get out.

I kinda hope he will. He's got the entire store watching for him, even some customers now (Mostly my friends) if he shows up again, he won't be getting away.
And besides, walking out with it and simply saying: 'Sorry, I'm gonna have to steal it' is as subtle as a boot to the face. I'd love to see him show up again...

i thought it was a rumor at 1st since there have been so many death rumors this year. and when i heard about it, it hadnt reached the web all too much... that cancer ate him alive. i cant even process how a 50 year old who looked 40, could look like a 80 year old within 5months.
