It's fun having the Ocarina (it's not an exact replica, as it has 4 holes in front and 2 in the back instead of 7 holes in the front, some day I hope to get an exact replica, but this works for now.
I am beginning to call it the Hylian Ocarina due to the fact that it is not an exact replica, but still clearly based on the Ocarina Of Time.
I am, however kinda afraid to play the Song of Storms again incase it starts raining again like last time. 🙄
After getting the Ocarina I looked at my mom and said "You know, now that this has to be the beginning of a tradition, getting me a Zelda-themed gift for Christmas. You can get me the Master Sword or Hylian Shield for next year."
She just laughed.
I am getting better at playing it, though. It's really not a hard instrument to play, you just have to either know the song before you learn to play it or be listening to it while learning to play it.
straight edge: its a movement that started in the 80s from one of my fav punk bands called Minor Threat, who 'sang' about not doing drugs(snort, shoot, smoke), not smoking tobacco, or drinking alcohol.
it's logos are identified with with Xs, bcuz a teenage punk band, Teen Idles, were minors at a punk club, and the people had to mark each of their hands with a X, so they wouldn't be served alcohol.
and it turned into a trio ( XXX ) when some band member from D.C. changed the 3 stars on the flag to X's... i cant wear those shirts bcuz everyone will think XXX is porn... like my parents.
the lyrics are good in the songs, but its hardcore punk, so no one will ever appreciate it since "it's just noise" and its hardcore punk, so u cant understand them bcuz they're yelling and talking real fast. most songs are under 45seconds. hah
i support it, bcuz i don't smoke, drink or do drugs. and have no intention of doing so in my life(thanks to my sister and friends). i'll take a shot of a drink, but that's just to taste it if i have had it before.
i'm sure my friend are going to look at me weird for not going to a bar for my 21st bday in feb.

People do appreciate it because it actually means something, but there's a huge difference between just listening to it and being at a hardcore gig.
I really respect people who are straight edge though. I tried, but I can't.

Amazing...I want that so badly. lol Now we'd also have to get a Wii controller that is shaped like the Master Sword.
