Re: Why the Rest of the World Hates U.S.

Because there Jealous of our wealth & Power
They hate us also because they read the ignorent, lowbrow, genocidal teachings of the koran.
As opposed to the They hate us also ignorant, lowbrow teachings of the bible. Have you ever read the Koran Napalm.
And I am guessing that your incorrect spelling of the word ignorant is more out of your own ignorance than out of an attempt at irony.
I like so many others (as I've already said) don't hate the American People, just those few nut-jobs residing at 1600 P.A.....
As for "Blaming others for their own problems" I don't buy that...
We are only complaining here about the problems bestowed forcibley upon the rest of the world by Cheney, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld, their puppet Bush and the Possey.... and now our Fascist dictacto- erm... I mean Prime Minister Tony Blair....
When the US government tries to "lead" us all (By the scruff of the neck)
then we DO have right to pass comment at least on their actions.
The Pollution/environment policy that the US hold is bad enough...
The US actually not only have given the Kyoto agreemnet the big finger,
but actually are the biggest polluters of the world...
(Manufacturing cars that purposefully run on shitty gas milage so you buy more gas=more fumes (Co2) etc.)
So thats like getting out of the pool and saying "Don't wanna swim" and then taking a nice big whizz and a dump in the pool when everyone else is swimming in....
Thats without the foreign policy issues of bombing/smearing anyone who could be of any dislike to those in power over there.....
As I say. If the US's big cheeses didn't keep attacking the rest of the world constantly, you wouldn't find the backlash against them...
IF it IS our problem, its because your government is MAKING it our problem.... So it IS the US's problem....
But nearly everyone I know actually love the American PEOPLE and we realise that your last two elections have been about as fair as the last Ukrainian one.
In short though. If you have a neighbourhood bully, and you complain to the bully's family and they turn and say "stop blaming us for your problem"... How would that sound to you...? 🙂
why would America want to sign the Kyoto Treaty?
So they can be penalized for their current pollution rates while countries like India and China are given the green light to pollute at a faster rate in order to "further develop" their countries because they are considered "lesser developed nations."
Did Japan sign the Kyoto Treaty?
Wow... Napalm just said one of the most racist comments I've heard in a while.
Link > The point of the Kyoto treaty is that saves everybody a lot of trouble, barring the big companies - who won't lose all that much anyway. If a big company increased its prices slightly and at the same time lowered its pollution rates, while telling the public they were doing so, people would be happy to pay that bit extra. It's much like Fair Trade food.
The Kyoto Treaty would have a large impact to the United States economy.
Companies wouldn't be able to produce as much, because
producing industrialized goods using "low pollluting" technologies is EXTREMELY expensive.
"We won't lose all that much" if by "we" you mean the UK, then yes, you're right...you won't lose that much.
Asking the United States to cut down 5.2% (later changed to 2%) of their pollution from the 90's, while growing at the rate that it has been growing is simply put....impossible. That's why Bush said the US would never sign the treaty.
The problem with hi-tech, low pollution products and industries is that it is very expensive to not only develop, but introduce as well.
The Toyota Prius (a hybrid car) sells at a base price of $20,875 in the United States.
What other cars does Toyota produce at a base price under $20,000?
The Echo
The Corolla
The Celica
The Camry
The Matrix
The Solara
The Rav4
and 3 different versions of the Tacoma truck
Now tell me the honest to God truth..would you pay $3,000 more for hybrid vehicle when all of those more luxurious, faster, more attractive cars are available at a cheaper price?
I don't even have the mental capacity to fully comprehend the expense that a company would have to undergo to:
a.) design low polluting manufacturing equipment/machines
b.) build them
c.) maintain them
All I know is that it most certainly won't be a small loss.

There was nothing racist about it
