GL rings can manipulate matter which includes making inanimate objects animate and can also absorb energy with it. They are pretty much capable of anything that the WILL and imagination of the user will allow. You don't find too many people with more WILL than Superman.
Whoever said that stuff about Parallax was not that strong, he used the Crisis on Infinite Earths to do what he did? That is retarded... he used some of the fissures and anomolys to hide his actions... he tightened Hyperspace and Time... causing it to collapse on itself. Then he recreated the Universe... With all of that power he was able to do the same stuff that thanos did with the HOTU. He beat the Spectre... and would have succeded if he had not wanted to let a few of the heroes live... he was trying to talk them into joining him. You have no idea what you are talking about.

I never once said Phoenix Force would not win but everyone looks at Prime as just being Post Crisis with more strength and being gold.
You all are wrong about the Sword of Heaven / Sword of Superman though... he can have it anytime that he wants. The only drawback is though is that he cannot live his life on Earth and be with friends and family. If you read Annual #10 it says that it spreads him out over the entire Universe he would be the protector over the entire Universe, he would be all knowing and all seeing. Maybe if any of you have read that issue you can explain it better because I was confussed due to the fact that there is noway he could be on level with the Presence. Superman chose not to weild the sword then because he wanted to live his life and did not want all that responsibility.

He did not die... he fell out of the time pocket they had and was supposedly lost along with GL. Do you even own the comics? He was fighting Waverider... the Spectre... Superman... GL... and then some other minor heroes. He was not killed by it... more hurt that his best friend would do that to him.

Where there's life, there's the Phoenix Force. U can't kill something that is part of creation. Let's just say that Parallax did kill the PF not DP but the PF for the sake of argument, all life would in the multiverse would end including Parallax's. Galactus tried to do that before and all the stars and celestials bodies start to fade. So in essence, Parallax would be killing himself IF he did kill the PF. Besides, Parallax is surrounded by a 2 inch green aura while DP is surruonded by a five mile radius of firebird.

If you're talking about the D'bari star, it has nothing to do with the fact that she "needed" power (and if thats her power before she absorbs it... lol). She was killing the D'bari, because they "didnt work" and she was partly insane. The purpose of the phoenix is to burn away what doesn't work and heal the universe, revealed in new x-men.

Galactus didn't even try to kill the phoenix force, I dont know how you would even do that, he was just trying to separate it from Rachel. And that alone caused the universe to fade.

Then some scientist was doing some sort of experiment and PF becamse what it is. Phoenix Force knew that by it becoming an actual being future generations would not exist. It still did it.

PF is a cosmic force that has existed as long as life has existed. It became sentient when Jean Grey called out to it in the shuttle. (read classic x-men #8). Phoenix appears in the form of a woman of gold and tells Jean that its consciousness, form etc. derive from her. The gold woman is the same form Jean takes when she hatches out of the egg.
The PF only destroys future generations when it becomes sentient without an avatar, a living host.

There are thousands of GLs and Hal was the most powerful one ever... he has all of their power... plus all the Guardians power... plus he absorbed Waverider and Extant and Mathew Ryder... so yea you are right... Waverider is an actual part of the time stream... not powerful at all... Monarch who was a Time Warlord... but yea you all are probably right... Parallax was weak... a girl that turns into a flaming bird and has telekinetic and telepathic powers (Gls are immune to telepathy) would probably destroy him. She destroyed a star... Yes Jason I know the GL storyline and what he is capable of and frankly I'm not that impressed at all. Are u saying that DP can't contain a supernova? Or that in terms of raw power, she isn't in the same league or even higher than Parallax? We've only seen a fraction of her power and just imagine what she can do at full power. Just because she hasn't destroyed time, space, and reality and reconstructed it, doesn't mean she can't do it. FYI, she's a multiversal entity sorta like Eternity. Eternity DOES exist in DC but DC doesn't want to capitalize on that because that's Marvel's character and it would be bad for their franchise; therefore PF exist in the realms of DC. Whatever Hal can do, DP can do better and then some.

Dark Phoenix didn't get killed, she committed suicide. Dark Phoenix was never defeated. With the help of Professor Xavier, Jean Grey used her control over the Phoenix Force to mentally subdue it.

You don't know anything about the Phoenix Force, obviously. Paralax's greatest feat was destroying the universe by taking adwantage of the a space-time rupture caused by Crisis on Infinite Earths. Not impressive when compared to the Phoenix Force.
He didn't commit suicide. He wanted to redemn himself. Commiting suicide implies a pre meditated notion and I certainly doubt he was planning to kill himself because to begin with he was self assure that he could contain the Sun Eater with all that power he had. He was a fool. Now if that had been DP, containing a Sun Eater would be a synch. 😉
