Superman Prime Vs. Dark Phoenix

jun's right, kg. he married the imp queen, and their offspring (and the descendents of those offspring) are half-mortal/half-imp. and supes HAS been named the most powerful of the dynasty - at least according to the bios i've read. i'm pretty sure in the ltd series he is also called the greatest of all heroes. and don't forget - it was prime who GAVE all the supermen of the dynasty their power. how'd he do that?? i don't know either, but clearly the supes of the future is very much different (new powers/abilities) from the supes we know. prime himself does not have 'imp blood' in his veins though, yet again, is still considered the most powerful of the supermen.

as far as dp - and we are speaking SOLELY of dp, not phoenix, not the full phoenix force, only dp - what is HER greatest feat? i've seen her destroy a star, but prime did that, effortlessly. his (imho) could be judged the greater feat because the star he destroyed was actually sentient and again, powerful enough to destroy the combined might of the greatest heroes of the 853rd century. so, using only DARK PHOENIX'S feats, what has she done? i don't think dp has ever juggled galaxies, or rekindled/created universes. recall this thread is DARK PHOENIX, not phoenix force. that's a different thread. so, what has dp done? not "what has phoenix/phoenix force SINCE been proven able to do", not "well if phoenix has been able to do that, dp can as well," but in her appearances as dp, what was jean's greatest feat?

The point I was making was, if prime had the power of the imp why wouldn’t need the imp.

The dark phoenix's power is ONLY a fraction of the phoenix force's power. FYI, she didn't destroy a star, she destroyed the D'Bari solar system. Big, big difference there, bucko. 😠

Is Dark Phoenix equal to the Phoenix Force or is she just a far weaker avatar? I saw a scan where Magneto had her on her knees with a planetary stroke.

Incorrect. Dark Phoenix was the same being who pulled off arguably the greatest feat in Marvel (i.e the Mkraan crystal incident). After said feat she placed limits on her power to carry out day to day life as a member of the X-men. At the time Dark Phoenix Saga was written Jean Grey was literallly Phoenix it was her having reached the ultimate point of mutation however the DP Saga was a result of her good side imposing limits on her power, allowing Mastermind to slowly corrupt her, encouraging a dark side to her psyche which craved her former power levels. Prof X never defeated her with a mental attack as stated on panel he worked with Jeans good side to put back in place the psychic circuit breakers which had slowly began to wear away therefore allowing her to access her power.
