It's not a limit, though. That's just the highest quantification we can make, as a portion of his strength feats are unquantifiable, or "infinite".

Byrne-level Superman, meaning Superman before he had a single power-up, had a feat involving an extraterrestrial space craft that was 4 times the size of an aircraft carrier. An aircraft carrier weighs nearly 100,000 tons. Let's lowball the estimate a bit and say the spaceship weighed 300,000 tons.

So this would be far, far more than an average person. This would come to 6,335 tons. The weight of the ship is over 47 times your claim of the maximum Superman can lift, and remember I'm lowballing the ship's weight, and high-balling your claim based on the world powerlifting record for a squat(which uses stronger muscles than what Superman did with the ship).
This is also going by the assumption that Superman merely lifted the ship, instead of what really happened. He threw it into orbit, meaning he'd have to throw it a few dozen times the speed of sound, making the feat far, far more than lifting 300,000 tons above his head. And this isn't even his most impressive feat from BEFORE he ever got a power-up.

But when you compare feats, Superman simply rapes Hulk. Sorry.

Even if he can't in New 52, this topic was started in early 2005, making New 52 completely irrelevant. Superman's feats are simply superior to Hulk's. Deal with it.

That's why I said "average" because looking at high showings, Savage Hulk is stronger than WWH when overall, that isn't the case. WWH wasn't going to mimic everything Savage did over 30+ yrs and the same goes for Superman but on average, WWH is physically stronger than both and not by a little bit either.
