Aliens and Life in other Worlds [Merged]

Well, if there are billions, or more like Trillions of planets, I find it nearly impossible that there isn't at least one other planet that can support life.

tis true

There is quite an easy way to determine what life may look lke in another galaxy.
Ok so if they have been able to contact us, radio waves, travelling here etc it would suggest they are smart. So they would most likely not have 200 legs or sumthin coz their brain would spend to much time co-ordinating them, same for arms. They would need something like a thumb or a trunk to pick things up, use tools. Its not a lot but everything else would depend on wat kind of environment they lived in. dark=no eyes probably. Water planet= maybe being able to breath underwater. So many things but u can narrow it down as ive done.
Also there are 3 main types of technologicly advanced civiliazations.
1. Harnessing the power of the atom (roughly the stage we r at)
2. Harnessing the power of a whole planet or other planets, taking them apart etc.
3. Harnessing the power of a whole galaxy, stars, planets, cosmic debry etc.
Thats just a theory though 😛

I think the assumption that humans are the most intelligent race in the universe is both foolish and arrogant...

I already gave up reading your post after the second line...

it would make them smart if they could contact us???? the galaxy doesn't end two blocks away after you turn a right and go straight for a mile y'know. if there are any, they'll be sitting probably billions of lightyears away and we will never see them, does that make them stupid? cause they can't reach us??

i say yes because picture outerspace as 1 big dog.

each planet represents a flea on the dogg. we only know of the planets we have in our system.

like i said in the other topic theres billions of planets in space undiscovered.

also theres more than just our galaxy out there.

all of these assumptions about how they could or couldn't contact us or how they look like are silly. We ourselves have the basic concepts about how to travel from a to b in more than one ways. if you draw two points on a piece of paper...the shortest way between them isn't a straight line, it is in fact bending the paper so as to get the points one on top of the other. If you take a baloon and draw two points (one on eachi side), the shortest way isn't by uniting them with a line. it's by pressing the two points with yor fingers, until the points actually touch. If space is bend-able like that...that whole billion trillion years theory kind of falls. we don't actually know enough about the universal physics so as to base an opinion on. we can only guess....my guess is..there are intelligent life forms out there.....and them contacting us, is theoretically possible..just as their existance

if the universe is indeed never ending, then there has to be at least one other place where there is life

err....why?

the universe isn't never ending, it's just expanding....and doesn't have an edge because space bends! *nods* yes i studied for my physics exam

just theories, those

It's mathmatically impossible for humans to be the only living things in the nearly infinite universe.

no it's not. just as it's not impossible for humans to not be.
you simply don't have any proof to back either up. simple as that.
So i'd definitely not go as far as to involve mathematic impossiblities in it

I dont believe in UFO's and this might sound like fiction but i hink the goverment do stuff like in the X files u know??

i'm with everybody else, i don't think were alone out there, the only thing the Bible says about this topic is that, we were the most intelligent thing that God made, so taking that into consideration if there is somethign out there, we'll most likely visit it before it visits us 👆

...that's kinda the dumbest thing I heard so far 🙄

Dexx> Scientific theories are FAR more than speculations.
As to the math involved in life anywhere else in the Universe... I suggest you look up Drake's Equation. It deals with said subject.

The Force> But the Bible never once mentions life on other planets.

actually TO... if I may play Advocate of the Devil (pun intended 😛) ...
*goes to the hitmachine Advocate of the Devil and plays* ...

ok, right erm... in the bible it somewhere mentions "the other sheep"... you know how you can reach everythign with overanalysing, so if you do that on that, it can mean that there are other planets with aliens on

Space is infinate. To assume we are the only lifeforms in it is insane. Equally insane is to assume we are the smartest. Over time there have more than likely been lifeforms akin to our own existing somewhere that have become far more evolved than us.

I believe some extra terrestrial life has visited us and seen what selfish, violent and moronic people we are, then flew off.

I don't get why people take guns to UFO sightings. Beings come from all over the universe to see our crapball of a planet and we try to kill them. Typically human.

If anything they'd want literature and art, we'd want their weapons. Coz we're just shit like that.

So yes, there is intelligent life out there in INFINATE space. The one thing we should stop doing is assuming we are at the top of that intelligence chain. Because if an alien race, hostile or not, came to Earth then everyone would shit themselves. I for one hope we don't find planets with other life. We've ****ed up our own planet beyond repair, I don't think it's fair to invent active space travel to do it to someone elses.

ive actually thot about that alot, and i think there is....i mean come on, there are other galaxies, so there could be other earths and wut not!

we consider ourselves to be highly intelligent, but this is just because there is nothing else to compare it to. we search our solar system for evidence of planets that may have ounce mirrored our ecosystem, and there for ever supported life, or will it ever be able to support life again.

Frankly we dont know what were looking for,or what to do if we ever found it. einstien said it best "humanity will never discover intelligent life in the universe, because we are looking for ourselves" If there is other life out there, there is a unique design to it, a pattern of knowledge that we could never understand. Maybe if we were more anxious to learn about ourselves, than a ghost existence, maybe then we could be ready to understand distance life. We don't even fully understand the human brain, there are numerous chambers in the brain that we are still unsure the purpose. We dont even have the capacity to sense or see the many forms of life that exist in our planet let alone the universe.

metals

Many men dote on the metals silver and gold with their whole souls, and know no other standard whereby to estimate their their own worth, or the worth of their fellow-beings, but by the quantity of these metals they possess, thereby debasing and degrading those qualities of mind or spirit by which alone mankind ought to be estimated. He who wishes to be must be willing to relinquish all descriptions of metal, and all the adventitious circumstances of rank and fortune, for it is the Man that is received and not his rank or riches... Gadicke.

🤨

i think there are aliens out there somewhere... (stares off into space dramatically)
