Can't say without specifics, but you can break a bone by falling on your rear, sure.
Never heard the term "busted arm" refer to a muscle tear or sprain, though.
But assuming you're right, Hype still caused all that damage with a single punch. Calling it "not a break" doesn't make it any less impressive.

I've seen it used several times when the injury ends up being nothing more than a bruised bone.

Hyperion was owning him, so seeing no other way to stop him, Wonder Man grabbed Hyperion and flew him into the sun, killing them both. And that Hyperion who Wonder Man fought is not the Hyperion of the Squadron Supreme of Earth - 172, but his evil and weaker clone, the Hyperion of the Squadron Sinister of Earth - 616, who Hulk has taken down with one thunderclap.
