Jaspers, regardless of how powerful he was, isn't an Omega mutant. He's never been labelled one.

[sarcasm]While Omega Red is clearly an Omega mutant, because look they call him Omega Red.[/sarcasm]

So complete control of reality doesn't count as limitless potential? I though that was the basis for the "Omega" distinction? Are just talking on panel or common sense?

In universe. Yes.

However a mutant is not Omega until declared to be so.

On panel. It's too variable. Ranging from Phoenix to Iceman down to Elixir. Arbitrarily classifying powerful characters without on panel confirmation doesn't really suffice. It's just supposition.

Mad Jim Jaspers. The Scarlet Witch. Immensely powerful, but not confirmed Omega mutants.

No.

Mad Jim isn't an omega because no writer's ever called him one.

Being called an Omega by a writer (post-2001) is the ONLY thing that can make one a true omega. Anything else is just conjecture.

im sure if jaspers was still around somebody would slap a label on im but he is dead, and been dead b4 the world at large got to know him, so its a moot point

Jaspers is back actually.

get ther F out!😱 that's great ! where has he shown up....I mean other than that little cameo in HoM where he fused with the Fury... if he is in any ongoing im gonna have to pick it up

So what's the point of being an Omega Mutant

if Wanda and Jaspers were more powerful than them?

There is no real point really. It seems more an arbitrary label anyway.

Elixir isn't anywhere near as powerful as a whole lot of other mutants who aren't confirmed Omegas.

Maybe Omega is about powerset or something. Elixer could be quite powerful but isn't based on the use of his abilities so far.

It's definitely more about powerset than absolute level of raw power as far as I'm aware. Somewhere in this long thread I wrote what I thought an Omega mutant was. And while it was the height of awesomeness, that doesn't negate the fact that it was nothing more than supposition and that the only thing that makes a mutant an Omega is being labelled one, without ambiguity - no possibles, no potentials, no maybes - on panel.

Starhawks power even surprised those in the White Hot Room, he didn't pass out of the room, so much as he smashed his way out of it. Something unprecedented. So your saying an alpha mutant can do that?

Apparently.

No, he is an Omega, they even said that only a person of a certain power level can do what he did in the Room.

And, apparently, that certain power level is within range of an alpha mutant.

Do you believe that Scarlet Witch or MJJ could replicate that within the room, when they were at their most powerful?

In your opinion.

The White Hot Room wasn't around in the mid-90s afaik. ermmhappy

Are you a moron? The white hot room as been around before that, it first appered in an early issue of "Classic X-Men" When they reprinted the last part of the Dark Phoenix Saga and showed Jean first entering it in her white crown outfit and it manifested itself as a never ending tower.

God read an issue or two before you start spewing nonsense.
