This is the BIGGEST ISSUE I have with religion!!! Why look at the pastors to determine the problem. Look at yourself to see where things went wrong! If we all start looking at ourselves rather than trying to find the problem elsewhere, we will start to find what was meant by ALL this(LIFE)! YOU are responcible for your happines and not anyone else. If you are unhappy, look in the mirror and see the reason!

We shouldn't put anyone on a pedestal. Maybe churches should go back to small home group studies.

The early gnostic Christians never had a "Leader" of a church. They drew lots and took turns makes everyone equal.

i know why people give up....it's because when problems keep coming and when we don't get what we want is what makes us believe....i've quit... it doesn't matter to me anymore.....we're responsible for ourselves and thats it....

That's what God would do. He'd say, if it's not working, then try somthing else...

if something doesn't work find an alternate solution....

that's just a stereotype there. just cuz you have ur kids who sit in sunday school and just think about doin drugs after this boring class is over and they're just their cuz their parents make them doesnt mean that all christians are goin to hell. i mean, you do have ppl who call themselves christians, but they are bad people. some people use religion just as a title. just to say hey! im christian *****! but some people use it as a belief. they actually read into it, understand what they believe, and pull through with it all.

You sound just like my husband. He also claims to have had an eyeopener. He has a good caring heart (just like you I suspect) but has shut religion out of his life. I do not argue with him about this anymore and so I will not with you either. This is between you and God and your conscience. You must live the choices you make.
