Believe me, he is spiritually more frustrated now than ever before. He found out that away from God there are so many different views on spirituality and so many contradicting so called "evidence" from various groups including New Age that he is now more "lost" than ever. I can see him searching, reading books but it is so visibly clear that he has not found that inner peace that he used to have before he was misled by the illusions of what these people offered him. I think what frustrates him most is seeing the rest of his family coping through the many facets of life because we have hope, and faith and he has none of that, only questions to which no one can give answers.

Your husband is finding out what the truth is...And he is seeing that there is no right religion...He will come to the conclusion that God doesn't pick and chose who is going to be in Heaven..AND..he will have peace in that knowledge that he doesn't have to find the right set of rules to follow...In the end, he will really be able to LOVE everyone for who and what they are without feeling a need to SAVE them or change them, and the guilt that comes with that.

A truth is something we know to be true. Something that is flawless and can not be altered. It is absolute. And no one can change that. In his age he knows more, has seen more, has more experience, but doesn't know truth. Go up to a child and ask him to tell you about truth. If in that action he still can not see it, than the frusteration isn't in the deception but rather he hasn't opened his eyes to the world. Take him for a walk to a forest, park, beach, mountain. Let him enjoy nature, and see Truth. Take him to rundown villages and poor towns. That is truth. Take him to see people with hatred hypocrits people who kill and steal. That is truth. Truth doens't lie in religion, it is religion. Inner peace is Truth. Finding it is all a matter of where to look.

You see he grew up as a Christian seeing how God works in people lives, but was misled by the lies. There is now a void that cannot be filled by the "shallow things the world has to offer because nothing can really take the place of God. But I have faith that his eyes will open to the truth again as he watches his little daughter grow up. But you are right, truth does not lie in any religion but in God and it is confirmed by our spirit. That is when you have inner peace no matter what the circumstances.

God's plan is for you to live with him in heaven. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
