Brom fighting someone (Ra'zac?)
do you think it is from the movie or a independent thing... what do you all think
Got me.
I can't believe Brom is played by Jeremy Irons. Now I'm going to feel like I'm riding Spaceship Earth at Epcot instead of watching a movie. That usually happens when I'm watching a movie with that guy in it, Except Lion King. mostly because I watched that movie a lot before they changed Spaceship Earth. Seriously, every time I watch a movie with that guy in it, I begin to think of him saying "The Theatre was born" and "The world began to shrink". 🙄 going to Disneyworld every year since I was four months old kind'a scarred me for life.
P.S. No pun intended when I used the word "scarred"

Ignoring the fact that the "fifteen year old genius" of this book STOLE basically every interesting element in his story from other works (I.E the entire plot from star wars, the world from tolkien, and the dragon raising/hiding/psychic connection bit from Jane Yolen's dragon trilogy) the book was terrible. While reading I could not help but think to myself, "this writer seems kind of imature" and then I realized that wait...he is in fact fifteen, and he DOES write like a fifteen year old with one difference; hundreds of randomly placed, uncalled for SAT words.
His characters are one dimensional, Saphira grows to quickly for a bond to be created between her and Eragon, his discriptions are amaturish, and overall this book is a monument to the degeneration of our American culture.
By reading this book...and then saying something as ridiculous as "it was the best book I ever read" or even, "hey this book was pretty good" you are slapping not only every great fantasy writer the world has seen in the face, but every writer in general. By feeding into this new phenomena that is, "young writers are good writers", and my personal favorite, "you can't be too hard on him because he is just a kid" you are directly feeding the beast that will suffocate and KILL any ounce of creativity your children and their children will have.
Christopher Paolini has done only ONE original thing with his book...he has taken prose and found a new way to promote it. Age.
Please do not buy this book, do not support this book, and if you are so inclined to...disagree with me. However, not only will I reply, but I will show no mercy to the ignorant.
Okay, you go out and write a novel, right now, and see how good it actually is. It was a really good book. and all this post shows is how stupid you truly are. 😠 And also, with nearly every idea for fantasy taken, theres not much left to do but take different things from different writers and roll it all up into your own, unique story. I mean come on, lets see you go out there and write a book that is every bit original. I bet you couldnt. no wait, i know you couldnt.
