I can’t believe how ridicules some of you are being… I have read a lot of books, and Eragon is one of my favorite books. The day I checked that book out from the library, I stayed up all night just so I could finish it. I read on an earlier post that someone said he copied off of other great books. Well, I disagree w/ that. Also, could you read the book before criticizing it?

I've read the books, and they are hugely plaugurised works. He's taken the storyline from Star Wars, embellished it a little and added in Tolkienesque races.

Yay!!! I agree with you EXACTLY on that 1st point. I read absolutely loads as well, and I love Eragon!

Aww, I missed out on a good debate! Anyways, Eragon is a great book. I read alot of books and although the storyline is a bit complicated and hard to remember after a while, I still love it! I read Eldest for the third time just last week.

I've read it way more than 3...I've lost count...😄

Eragon, is defiantly the LOTR of our times. So what if he copied some of the story lines, before you Dis his work, can you write better? doubt it, and he did it all at 15, most of the people on here r probably a bit older.
