Book Six : Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince [merged]

I like that idea as well. It seems the JK has made Ron as a character that she would not have die because he is based on one of her friends. But I believe that she did that to make everyone have a false sense of comfort with Ron. Ron and Hermione will probably try a relationship, at some point Ron will either die, or he will mess it up and Hermione will turn all of her attention to Harry. Harry will be with someone at the time and then realize his intrest in Hermione. I can't see him trying anything with Loony Lovegood, but look at her name. If/when they do get together it cant last long because every intimate moment would be a comic scene as well. But a very good thought that you brought up.

None of those three will die. It will be harry and hermoine, because it still does hint at them in the 5th, and in the 4th, and 3rd, and even a little in second. It won't be Ron, but Ron I think will be head boy. Also I really hope harry can play quitich because that is one of the coolest parts of the books

I wonder if Lord V ends up being Lily's uncle or something.....that would be weird. I know we are supposed to find out ALOT more about Lily in the next book......... my thoughts are these....

1.) We'll find out how James and Lily did get together and what made Lily fall for him

2.) We'll find out if Mark Evans is related to her

3.) We'll find out if Lord Voldemort comes from her side of the family....example being....maybe he's her uncle or distant cousin......

4.) We'll find out why Lord V didn't want to kill Lily, but did however want to kill James...... Maybe Lily was next in line for Slytherin.....and then her blood is Harry's and so Harry could possibly now be it....... JUST A THOUGHT........... b/c he wouldn't want to kill someone who was supposed to be next in line in the family for the heir.........

but then he wldn't wanna kill harry if he was his heir right?
then why'd he be out for his blood?
what abt the prophecy then?

I read somewhere about the possibility of Moaning Myrtle having been the sister of Lily and Petunia. They are all named after plants, Lily, Petunia, and Myrtle. I also think it was said somewhere that Myrtle's last name was Evans. Don't know if it's true, but it's an interesting theory none the less.

Myrtle was well before the times of Lily and Petunia. If she were still alive in The Chamber of Secrets, she would have been in her sixties. Lily would only have been about thirty three. There is no way they could be syblings, but it is a possibility that they could be distantly related. Myrtle might be Lily's aunt, who knows?

I posted this on another thread, but anyway. the prophecy says that either must die at the others hands. does that mean that only voldemort could kill harry? if so, then the death eaters can't kill harry, so harry can seem really brave, but he can't be killed unless voldemort is there. also, if they team up together then they would be untouchable, atleast until another prophecy comes along. just a thought.

I don't know about that theory, you make it seem like Harry can't be touched by a death eater. In all realism I'm sure Malfoy or any of the death eaters "could" kill Harry. But lets face the facts, these books are written so Harry won't get killed by anyone, unless it is Voldemort. And i don't even feel like answering the question of them teaming up because that won't happne...

If the prophecy is true then harry can not be killed by any other person besides voldemort. no death eaters could kill him because that would not fullfil the prophecy. thats what i was talking about. and i didnt say that i felt that they would team up, but that if the prophecy was true then they would be untouchable if they did.

Well after reading all 5 books did you really think that a death eater was going to be the one that killed Harry? Maybe one of them will kill a member of the order, but IF Harry dies...of course Voldy will be the one who does him in.

Sirius's cousin i belive, Bella Lestrange i think, I could see her getting mad at harry and trying to kill him. This is not very likely but if it did come up i feel that she could not kill harry. this is the theory that i was tryin to bring up. Also Lucius Malfoy isnt the biggest fan of Harry and threatened him in CoS for lettin Dobby go. He wouldnt mind being the person who killed harry either.
In book five the only reason they didnt try to kill harry was because of the prophecy that Voldemort wanted. who knows what they would have done if he handed it over.

humm... i have all the facts about book six might come out already in april 2004. that'd be great, wouldn't it? but the 6th book will be shorter than ootp ❌ i can't waite 4 the finnish translation of ootp to come out. i'll have to waite 4 next march. how sad. but it'll be over 1000 pages long. i have read it in english 5 times already 📖

Where did you hear that? About book 6? I think it's very unlikely. I've heard that Rowling only just began writing book 6 some months ago.

Wow, you have to wait a long time for the Finnish translation. The Danish came out in October.

I don't know if anyone said it yet, but.. Harry falls in love with Parvati Patil.. I heard it in a rumour...

Book 6 won't come out in April 2004. We learned about clues and a release date for OotP like 6 months before the book came out. I know because my copy was pre-ordered months before the release. And how come Harry hasn't shown any interest in Parvati in any of the previous books? You would think that Harry would have already said something like "she's cute" or "she's attractive" in the past books that would imply that he likes her.

Well, he was in love with Cho, so he didn't saw Parvati.. but now he knows Cho, he knows she isn't that nice if he thought she would be, so he doesn't like her anymore, and shows his intrests for Parvati..

personally i think harry will eventually have a lasting relationship with someone he perhaps likes subconciously, but who hates him, just a thought, but james liked lily and she loathed him at first didn't she? i know harry is realising he is less like his dad than he first thought, but he does have a streak of the same arrogance that his dad was showing in snape's worst memory, and his patronus is prongs, so maybe his life will lead the way his father's did, but he will defeat voldemort, where his dad failed. and i still don't trust snape.
