Book Six : Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince [merged]

Started by dark1365156 pages

There is a good chance that Dumbledore might be the half-blood prince. Think about it.

ACTUAL HBP FACTS

The link between Chamber of Secrets and Half-Blood Prince relates to a discovery Harry made in 'Chamber' that foreshadows something that he finds out in 'Prince'.
- Tom Riddle is not the Half Blood Prince (he is Voldemort).
- Arthur Weasley is not the Minister of Magic.
- Crucial information in The Half-Blood Prince was originally planned to be placed in Chamber of Secrets, the second book.

On the last note, remember when Dumbledore said "Only a true Gryffindor could have pulled that out of the hat, Harry."
Emphasize the word "true".
Harry's the heir of Gryffindor, probably.

Well, if you think about it really hard, you'll get it.

Rowling said that crucial information will be revealed that she was originally planning to reveal in the second book, Chamber of Secrets.

Now, if you look at it this way, the book focuses mainly on the return of Slytherin's heir. So could Harr be Gryffindor's heir? Remember, with Dumbledore telling him that only a true Gryffindor could've pulled the sword out of the hat. He might've been giving a hint to Harry. But since the book is from Harry's point of view, and throughout the book he's been worried that he was destined to be in Slytherin, he takes it that he truly belongs in Gryffindor.

Well put!

Thank you.

Yes yes, Ive said the same thing to about Harry. It makes perfect sense! The hatred that Voldy has for Harry? It's probably becuz he knows that Harry is the heir of Gryffindor! Which is why the prophecy comes into effect and such and why Harry was able to pull Godric's sword out.

🤘

its seems stupid but yeah...few months ago i wrote a theory about the heir business...but i forgot it...can anyone write what i wrote months ago...around last summer....

has anyone thrown out the possibility that the heir is not, harry , but neville?

OK Yeah right there is NNNOOOO way that Neville could be the heir instead of Harry! 😆

sure there is...Neville is a pure blood...I was thinking about that recently...I just don't know though. I think if it were going to be anyone it would be Harry. Especially looking at CoS. WOO HOO it's Friday and I can go do some HP reading!!! Maybe I'll be able to finish CoS this weekend and find more hidden clues.

Well. . . the thing is the heir could be a new character. . .we never know

Neville's a pure blood. How can he be the half blood prince then?

Neville does not have the power to kill the dark lord. Remember, the second part of the Lost Prophecy states that Voldemort would mark him as his equal. And he went and tried to kill Harry, and left Harry with a lightning scar.

Remember also that Voldemort had more fear for the non-pureblood. And, he didn't TRY TO MARK Harry...he TRIED TO KILL him. It just backfired on him and left Harry w/ his lightning bolt scar. Now the question to be asked is: Did it backfire and mark him b/c the prophesy said Voldemort would mark the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord???

And also, do you think Voldemort tried to kill/mark Neville first? When the spells came backwards out of Voldemort's wand in GoF it was Cedric, James and Lily, meaning that those were the last spells to be cast w/ that wand. He must have done what he did to the Longbottom's before he went to the Potter's. Where was Neville? At his grandmother's house? Arg, I need my books.

BTW...I found two things in CoS over the weekend, I didn't bring it w/ me, but one is on pg. 152, and the other is on pg. 153. They weren't huge clues, but thought provoking nonetheless.

ill give them a look over cuz i ve beeen reading it recently ..

Okay, so I don't know what this is, but I found this site. At first I thought it was an actual excerpt from HBP, but then I thought to myself, "Self! What are you thinking? You know JKR wouldn't let ANYTHING out!!!" So now I'm left w/ this teaser and I thought I'd share it w/ you guys.

POTTER PROJECT 2: Harry Potter and the Seven Seers

Harry is spending the last weeks of the summer before his 6th Hogwarts year at 12 Grimmauld Place, the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix. Over breakfast Bill Weasley unexpectedly reveals a new Prophecy:

"The seven children will be the key... In order of their birth, before the twelfth moon, they will reveal information to turn the tide of the war... The Phoenix Order or the Dark Order... Whoever plays witness to the seven seers will be victorious... The seven... Will be... The key..."
