The thing about Ron and Malfoy got my attention in earlier posts b/c of the NUMEROUS times he is quoted as saying that all of his things are rubbish, and how embarassed of his family he is. It seems that everything he wants, someone else has (those someone's being Harry and Malfoy). If Harry were to ignore his best friend, Malfoy could have a "change of heart" and "apologize" to the Weasley's for everything nasty that he's done and "admit that what his father did was wrong" and then as a bonus, offer Ron something that he wants...maybe Malfoy will get kicked off the Slytherin Quidditch team b/c he sucks and give Ron his Nimbus Two Thousand and One b/c Ron "deserves it" (Not quite as nice as a Firebolt, but still extremely competetive...). Now I know that Ron is very loyal, he proved that by sticking w/ Harry in OotP (Lord knows I would've slapped Harry and not spoken to him if he talked to me like that!). It's possible that a little more neglect/abuse from Harry like that could potentially push Ron away (But not Hermione, I think she'll just go to the library and back and forth btwn. Harry and Ron like last time). Now of course I'm still rooting for Ron to stay on Harry's side, but there's gotta be some drama amongst the ranks!
Speaking of switching sides....you know that vague rumor that says that someone will switch sides...what if it is Peter Pettigrew....He DOES owe Harry....just a thought...but most of us were thinking of someone on the good side who would cross over to the Dark side...what if it is the other way around...Of course if Pettigrew does cross over, Voldemort will have to kill him, perhaps he will die saving Harry, like he should have done 15 years ago...

Okay, I finished reading the entire forum (I feel like Hermione...)...and here is the rest of the recap so people don't have to read through 45 pages (I did cut out a lot of stuff that I thought was crap, so keep in mind this is a biased recap)**
**Dumbledore has a brother Aberforth who is the barhand at the Hog's Head in Hogsmeade...will he join in the action and fight along w/ his brother? Some people think that Dumbledore will die in the 7th book (and I tend to agree, sadly). I think after the conclusion will come a little earlier and Dumbledore will FINALLY tell Harry everything on his death bed, and then knowing the truth, Harry will go and finish off Voldemort (Dumbledore will die at the hand of Voldemort/Bellatrix/Lucius)
**It's been said MANY times that Harry's eyes will play a major role in the 6th book. I don't know how many times they said that Harry has Lily's eyes in the PoA movie...and we know that JKR sees over the filming, maybe it was put in there so often for the less-than-die-hard-fans who won't re-read all of the books when the 6th comes out. It's been rumored that the 3rd movie will come out on DVD roughly the same time as the 6th book (I personally think the book will come out a month or two after though to get more fans...and $ [sorry JKR]).

A lot of people think she is crazy and a sort of space-cadet...but remember what house she is in...Ravenclaw...she's smart, and I think there are some things Luna can bring to the Scooby gang that not even Hermione could think of. She will definitely be a great asset in the fight against evil...
**This whole prophecy thing has created quite a stir! The thing is, it has to be Harry...why else would the books be about him, unless JKR is going for the whole unsung hero angle. But I predict there will be a lot of red herrings in the 6th book to make Harry think that he is not the One.

**Some people speculate that Lily is somehow related to the Weasley family b/c of the fact that she has red hair. Well, ok...but the Weasley's are purebloods and Lily is a Muggle-born. And yes, I am NOW fairly certain that Lily is Muggle-born b/c in OotP when she sticks up for Snape he says, "I don't need help from filthy little Mudbloods like her!" (pg. 648). Others say that James Potter comes from a pureblood family, and since all purebloods are related, that he must be related to the Weasley's. I'm still unconvinced, but for those of you who still want to believe that Harry is somehow related but can't understand why he still had to live w/ the Dursley's....I urge you to take a look at SS/PS Chapter One...

You can also come to that conclusion when you see what Snape says in OotP. Then Dumbledore says his aunt and uncle will be able to explain everything to him when he's older. Could this possibly mean that Dumbledore will die in the 7th book and Harry will have to turn to Aunt Petunia for answers?!? And then here comes Dumbledore's decision...if Harry were related to the Weasley's via his mother, Dumbledore (being his all-knowing self), could have made the decision to make Harry grow up away from the wizarding world w/ the Weasleys (HA! say that 10xs fast! Away from the wizarding world with the Weasleys...) so that he could have a chance (mind you a CHANCE) at being normal (but as we all know, Harry is not normal, by any stretch of the means...). And finally, "until he is ready to take it" says Dumbledore...when will he be ready? After all these year of fighting Voldemort and all the other evils of the Wizarding world, Dumbledore still hasn't trusted him w/ all of this information! When will he be ready (obviously in the 7th book, for literary suspense), and why is it Dumbledore who gets to choose?!?!
**Other people think that SCAR will be the last word of Book 7, and that the last sentence will be Ron/Hermione saying, "Where's your scar?" as in it will have faded w/ the death of Voldemort...sure, why not.
**Some predict a Weasley will die. It certainly won't be Ron, he's gotta stick around for the last book. I don't think she'd kill off a twin, so Fred and George are safe. Ginny? Nah, I've got big plans for her in my mind, I don't think JKR would do anything to her. Percy? It's a possibility. He could potentially, going along w/ another theory, become a Death Eater, see the error of his ways, come back to the Good side, and be killed by Lord Voldemort/Death Eater (that covers the "someone will switch sides" theory).
**And now I must come to Sirius' death scene. We all remember before OotP came out hearing rumors that someone was going to die and that JKR cried after writing that. Well, I ask you, why would JKR cry if she was going to bring him back? She said she had to kill Sirius off. Wich quite frankly I don't understand...WHY WON'T SHE LET HARRY HAVE A REAL FAMILY?

**Something that I've noticed through reading this ENTIRE forum is that A LOT of people have the prophecy TOTALLY wrong! It does NOT say that "one cannot survive w/o the other" it says "Either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives..." Good try though. Just to clear it all up, here is the entire prophecy as made by Professor Trelawney...
"Dark Lord approaches...Born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies...And the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, But he will have power the Dark Lord knows not...And either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives...The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies..." (OotP pg. 841).

Well no one except Dumbledore said anything about Riddle being a half blood (until Harry said it to the Death Eaters)...I can't really get out my reasoning behind this into comprehensible sentences, I'm sorry, but hopefully somewhere out there, someone knows what I'm trying to say and can explain it better than I...

My vote is for Hagrid to learn magic. Someone even said that he may even go back to Hogwarts as a student? Interesting to go from grounds keeper to teacher to student...anywho...moving on...

Well if the HBP is Hagrid, I am reminded of something that Harry said at the end of one of the films (I'm thinking it was the second one, but I can't find this quote in the book). Harry says, "It's not Hogwarts without you, Hagrid." Now I know I'm reaching a bit, but if Hagrid is the HBP and he dies, there will probably be a big falling out and others would die too. Could this change Hogwarts as we know it? I don't really know, just a thought...
**Something else that I SWEAR I remember reading, although I can't find it anywhere, is that JKR will NOT be introducing new characters, meaning a) the HBP is someone we know/at least heard of (most likely in CoS--but possibly not, we don't know how the innerworkings of JKR's brain function...) and b) that the last two books will be back story filling in all the holes and hopefully answering all of our great questions...I don't think she'll let us down on that one!

If anyone has ever seen/read any version of the King Arthur story you know that Arthur was just a boy, just a plain boy who gained the title of King simply by pulling the sword out of the stone. Perhaps this title of Prince is similar. We know JKR takes A LOT of her names and fates and other things from legends and folklore, why not Britains greatest legend King Arthur!?!
**Could there possibly be another prophecy made about this HBP? Is the HBP on the good side? That's what we're assuming. And it just seems like such a big thing that there could have been a seer who saw this one coming....If it is Hagrid who is the HBP (he's old remember, went to school w/ Tom Riddle 50 years ago) perhaps Trelawney's mother made the prophecy...she was a famous seer!
**House elves...they've got REALLY powerful magic. Will they join in the fight? We saw Dobby kick Lucius Malfoys tushie, and I'm fairly certain he would lay down his life for Harry (not that Dobby's gonna die--but he would definitely fight if Harry asked him to, or if he thought he could help).

**Someone had a question a while ago about how Fawkes got into the chamber...well someone in an earlier post hypothesized that Dumbledore was an animagus...and that his animal was a pheonix...I don't know about that and it brings up a WORLD of questions in and of itself. I personally don't believe it, but if you still wanna know why Dumbledore wasn't there and why Fawkes didn't go and get him, why don't you ponder this for a while...
