it was dumbledore

OMG! tracy I forgot about Aragog!!! plus JKR said that we might be seeing that flying car again, we should give the car a name. . .. anyway!!! lol

tracygarrett i like most of your points except this one V

**Something people noticed in the series is that Voldemort hesitated to kill Lily...what, did he suddenly grow a conscience or something and think it was bad to kill women and children for a fleeting moment? Ummm, probably not. And I'm still not convinced that Lily and Tom Riddle are related on by his Muggle father...
tracygarrett

lord V had no hesitation with killing his farther and his grand parents so why should he hessitat when he see's a distant muggle born relation?
it just make's no sence
there has to be some other explanation?

yeah, I don't buy any of that...All of that was a recap of the last 40+ pages of this forum...I figured it was a lot easier to read a couple of long postings than to go through all the pages...I don't even remember him hesitating myself, so I have no idea what book it is in....I guess you didn't get my sarcastic response to the theory...

What does everyone else think of Aragog? I totally forgot that I also read about the flying car coming back...Are Harry and pals going back into the Forbidden Forrest? I'd say likely, I'm sure JKR can come up w/ some new monster for them to face, plus we know Grawp is living there, and the whole thing w/ the centaurs, unicorns, and of course, Aragog and family! Maybe Buckbeak can hang out w/ Grawp...

What about Thomas? Dean Thomas. He is the only one whose blood is talked about in book 2(American).

**Could there possibly be another prophecy made about this HBP? Is the HBP on the good side? That's what we're assuming. And it just seems like such a big thing that there could have been a seer who saw this one coming....If it is Hagrid who is the HBP (he's old remember, went to school w/ Tom Riddle 50 years ago) perhaps Trelawney's mother made the prophecy...she was a famous seer!

**Does anyone remember a little 8-legged character named Aragog? When reading CoS again, he almost came across as regal, and I KNOW a normal spider can't be the size of a baby elephant! Nope, not a regular spider (do you see where I'm going w/ this?). Who said the HBP had to be human?

The last seer in trelawney's family was 3 generations before her, not her mother FYI and Aragog is an Acromantula(I think thats how its spelled), it says so in one of the lil books made on the side of HP (Famous Magical Creatures? or something like that). He isnt a halfblood, and neither are his children cuz in CoS he says Hagrid found him a mate

Hey i started reading the 4th book again and a few things came to my mind....

"A slight spasm crossed Uncle Vernon's large, purple face. The mustache bristled. Harry thought he knew what was going behind the moustache; a furious battle as two of Uncle Vernon's most fundemental instincts came into conflict. Allowing Harry to go would make Harry happy, something Uncle Venon had stuggled for thirteen years. On the other hand, allowing Harry to disappear to the Weasleys' for the rest of the summer would get rid of him two weeks earlier than anyone could have hoped, and Uncle Vernon hated having Harry in the house. To give him thinking time he looked down at Mrs Weasley's leeter again. (then it goes on unil this place).... Harry took a deep, stedying breath and then said, 'Ok, I can't see the World Cup. Can i gon now then? Only I've got a letter to Sirius I want to finish. You know my Godfather" My poin here is the samething as the next quatation....Why on earth will the Dursley send anything to Hogwarts when they really hated to see Harry happy.

"He had almosst said 'Hogwarts Express', and that was a sure way to get his uncles temper up. Nobody ever mentioned the name of Harry's school aloud in the Dursley household." Then y in the wolrd would the Durlsleys send something to hogwarts when uncle dursley cannot stand any imappropiate words(accordin to the dursley)

'No, the Lovegoods have been there for a week already and the Fawcetts couldn't give tickets,' said Mr Diggory. 'There aren't any more of us in this area, are there?' I wrote this quote because I just wanted to ask who are the Fawcetts....Does anyone know anything about the Fawcetts?

I think their daughter (Fawcett's) is in Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff, can't remember her first name though

well, in reading through some of tracy's posts, i noticed the one about harry's scar dissapearing...i found that really interesting. Im not sure if it would really happen, but the whole idea almost gave me chills...i'm not quite sure why 😛

book december come

(hey! this is not the thre broomsticks)

Does anyone know why Dean Thomas is not mentioned in the british 2nd book?

Anybody who has read both the American and British versions of 'Philosopher's Stone' will notice that Dean Thomas's appearance is not mentioned in the British book, whereas in the American one there is a line describing him (in the chapter 'The Sorting Hat'😉.

This was an editorial cut in the British version; my editor thought that chapter was too long and pruned everything that he thought was surplus to requirements. When it came to the casting on the film version of 'Philosopher's Stone', however, I told the director, Chris, that Dean was a black Londoner. In fact, I think Chris was slightly taken aback by the amount of information I had on this peripheral character. I had a lot of background on Dean, though I had never found the right place to use it. His story was included in an early draft of 'Chamber of Secrets' but then cut by me, because it felt like an unnecessary digression. Now I don't think his history will ever make it into the books.

That's from JKR's website...

You know what...i have a feelin Dean will be the half blood prince....I read somewhere that he is half blood...maybe he will be the HBP

I thought that too, and then someone brought up what JKR said on her website about her sacrificing his story in the series to tell Neville's b/c it was more important to the central plot...

true it has got to be someone that harry knows already .. no piont going out to find a nother charcter
