Do we think the HBP is the character mentioned in CoS? B/c that doesn't necessarily have to be it...The clue was that something small in CoS is something big in the 6th book, but does that mean that the HBP is what is mentioned? I was watching JKR's interview on the CoS DVD again today, and it says that a "detail" inside the Chamber comes back in the 6th book (at least that was my understanding as to what Steve Kloves meant...)...

I've just been trying to wrap my brain around this and I still think that Hagrid is the most likely....He has a huge role in the book, the mysterious past that we are learning about, and it is public knowledge that he is a half blood.

Initially I loved the idea of that flying carpet guy, but after pondering it for a while, I'm just not sure it makes sense. I really think these last two books are going to be focusing on filling in the holes she has already made, not creating new holes w/ characters that we know nothing about...

I don't know if it could be Hagrid... I think that this thing may be a link to he person. The person may not even be mentioned in CoS, but whatever it was could be. I know this is a little off the topic right now, but do you think we'll here more about Voldemort's mother? I've already mentioned this before, but I think that it's a bit strange that a pureblood witch, who's family believes that purebloods are better, would go and have a baby with a muggle.

And as for that question...this is my best answer...i think that perhaps the reason she didn't title CoS, The Half Blood Prince, was cuz she took out the info that made that title make sense. She left certain stuff out cuz she thought it would be better placed in book 6...and perhaps this information is what brings about the entire HBP idea...am i making any sense here?
