Book Six : Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince [merged]

I can't decide whether Harry will be Quidditch captain or not. I mean, this will be his 6th year on the team. But I'm not sure he's dedicated enough. He's so busy saving the world and w/ schoolwork, he has no time to plan practices or anything like that, there's no possible way he could be an "Oliver Wood" (not that that's a bad thing, he was kind of obsessed...), but I don't think the Gryffindor team would do well w/ Harry as their captain. Now, I do think it is possible that he could be named quidditch captain, and then give it to Ron or someone. El-pirate has a point, Ron knows EVERYTHING about Quidditch, it makes sense. But also, Ron doesn't have seniority on the team (are there any other old people on the team?) Perhaps if/when Fred and George come back they could be co-captains... I don't know, it's all speculation

What do you think will happen w/ Ginny? She's very mysterious I think, and she has this whole other world that we don't see, we only hear about from her, Hermione, or sometimes even Luna. I really liked the idea that she becomes an animagus, but what else? Love interests? Role in defeating the Dark Lord?

Well she is member of the DA and i think that all of the members will play a significant role in the defeat of Voldemort. Some will probably die xx

i think she is very important! she is one of the best characters in the book, alsmost the only one sticking up for herself! at the end of 5 she said she was dating dean, was that a joke or was that true? and i doubt it fred and george will come back, now that the shop is doing so well!
maybe one of the creevey brothers will get in the team (hope not, would be funny though!)

Okay, so we know Harry spends his shortest time ever w/ the Dursley's (shortest to date was 4 weeks I believe). So obviously something happens in the Wizarding World and Harry is rushed to be w/ the Order/the Weasley's. Could it possibly be a clash btwn the Muggle and Wizarding Worlds? What if Voldemort sent someone to disturb the peace in the Muggle world to raise the alarm in the Ministry to get everyone to try to fix that (a sort of distraction, if you will) meanwhile planning something greater for Harry. Possibly everyone in the Order will only be concerned w/ the former, leaving Harry and the DA to deal w/ the latter. Hermione will of course be brilliant and provide vital clues through research, and Ron will be right by Harry's side...or will he? How long can Ron stand to be the side kick? If Voldemort does displace Harry's love w/ hatred, it will be all too easy for Voldemort to make sure that Harry is left to fight him COMPLETELY alone (or so he thinks). If this does occur I have a strong feeling that his friends will come to his aid in the last defining moments in order to defeat Evil once again, but someone is going to get seriously hurt or even die...They will finish out the school year, Hermione will receive top marks, Harry and Ron will barely pass Potions and Gryffindor will win the House Cup.

But thats not as eventfull as i would like the 6th book to be! xx

Duh! I completely forgot the bit about the HBP!

Okay, so in my scenario the HBP is Hagrid. We know that someone learns magic late in life and so that fits too. Hagrid is going to be very powerful, and vital in the fight against Evil. I think I remember reading that it takes a lot of strong magic to work on a giant, or something to that effect. We've never seen anyone actually use magic against him, so we don't know the actual extent of that. So, Hagrid regains the right to practice magic, becomes very powerful and has a great defense (much like Lily's love for Harry, it is Hagrid's giant mother's blood running through him). He could possibly be a weapon against the Death Eaters (but I think Harry will be left to fight Voldemort himself).

As for how this fits in...Grawp will have to become more civilized and perhaps tell "Hermy" and Harry about how his mother was a Queen and perhaps something of Hagrid being the eldest son, and therefore the Prince. But in order for that to mean anything there is going to have to be a prophecy of some sorts or something to make that important. Trelawney is still at the school, so maybe she could do something, there must be a reason why JKR made Dumbledore keep her at Hogwarts...So perhaps Trelawney prophesizes that a HBP will be vital in the defeat of the Dark Lord and Dumbledore thinks it is a good idea for Hagrid to come back to school, as a student. Of course Malfoy will think this is hilarious, as he has always had it in for Hagrid. So he will send an owl to his mother or father (Death Eater connections) and Voldemort will find out that they have a weapon, hence the distraction! Then Hagrid will be w/ the Order cleaning up the distraction while Harry is pushing away his friends and then Hermione will figure it out tell Lupin or someone in the Order, and all will rush to Harry's aid imprisoning more Death Eaters and defeating Lord Voldemort once again...

and they all live happily ever after

yeah, that part was on my previous post, but I was retarded and forgot the most important clue about the HBP!

witch is?

the 5th book they use magic agenst hagrid. but the spells bounced off him because of his magic blood

oh, well there ya go! Perfect for a weapon against the Dark side!

I just can't believe it could be Hagrid. I still don't recall Hagrid's mom being a queen, but anyway, Hagrid has always had a fairly big role in all the books. I imagine it's someone that we really don't know too much about....

it was in the article that rita wrote about hagrid (i think..) and wohoo, i'm called jk rowling!! i would have so much imagination to write the best book ever, and i would make lots of money with it!!! *suddenly feels very depressed with own life* ah well...

Do you guys think anything will happen w/ Sirius? Do you think he is just dead and gone, or is there something wrong w/ just falling through a curtain and being considered dead....It's in the Department of Mysteries for a reason...Do you think the Unspeakables can shed some light onto where Sirius went? What about the two-way mirror Sirius gave to Harry...Do you think Sirius had it w/ him? Did he knew he was going to die (or at least could have)? Do you think the mirrors will work? Do you think Sirius could come back?

Sirius is gone forever; JK said she wept while she wrote about Sirius' death, she wouldn't weep if he was just on some long vacation.

oh yes....I forgot...Okay, well then what's up w/ the veil? How does it kill people? Is it like a portkey/portal-type deal? I hope that gets explained in Book 6...
