Who Wants to live Forever?

Simple question: Immortality, yes or no?

Remember the pros and cons:

-If you live forever, you...never die.
-You get to see the future.
-You get to do all the things you ever wanted to do, but never had
time for.
-You get to accumulate vast knowledge from reading many books.
-You'll get to be with many women or men.
-You'll save up lots of money and be rich.
-And you'll never fear running out of time, so can take your time
with getting things done.

On the other hand:

-If you live forever, You get to see the world become even more
screwed up and ruined.
-You'll out-live all your friends and loved ones, and see them grow
old and die.
-You'll never be able to be make too many friends.
-You'll never be able to become famous or accomplished (lest someone
notices you don't age).
-And perhaps worst of all, you will eventually forget all your precious
memories, including your childhood, your parents and family, your
early friends, your first kiss, etc.... All will fade away, like tears...in...
rain.

These are the only ones I can think of right now.

Well? Do you really want to live forever, forever, and ever?

well, maybe id prefere to live to when robots got invented for real, like in I Robot, that would be sweet, then id be happy and i could then die.

but that will never happen

I am aware of the consequences, and I choose immortality.

i would love to live for ever...friends come and go n e ways so i'd just get new ones....no big deal.

I enjoy pondering this, and I think I would accept, if possible, the consequences and take immortality. And there is no certainty that the world will get worse, its possible, maybe even probable, but not certain (maybe ones immortality could be used for greater things....)

I would like immortality to live through all the new inventions and things that are futuristic, and many more reasons, but then I would miss my dad, mom, and brother. They're the people I love and my dad and I are like best friends. If they were immortal then I guess I would too. If not, then no. I don't want to live forever. I would just like to die of old age.

happy then sad and happy then sad, Well I guess I would pick imortality if I didn't have a mortal body. What I mean is, not being in the confinds of a mortal body, but free to move about with out the trappings of being mortal.
