Not if your body regenerated it's self, then you would be renewed constantly all the time and be young. I don't think I'd like an android body. I don't know if I could get into it. lol
Nah, my post was poking fun at the idea of being casket to a droid's body....is a sci-fi thing. 😉
But seriously regenating a body may not work for certain people. Especially if there is a history of a serious dease or cancer in the family. Plus you would seriously had to change your nutrion. You might never enjoy the foods you like now if you want to keep a long lasting human body.

Maybe......Why? are you lost? 😛
I would hate to live forever. Nothing good could come of it, i wouldnt gain loads of knowledge or do everything i wanted to do just because i know i could put it off cos i'm going to be living forever. I would have to live through everything changing, people dying, the world ending. And I would probably just get bored knowing that this is what it wil be like forever
Here's a thought. Many wouldn't conceive of living forever because you would miss all your friends and family, BUT what if when you die and become a spirit or even in heaven you experience the same thing. Missing your friends and family and not able to be with them. You would be separated and you would be infinite and immortal to a point. But I guess again your friends and family would die and you would see them again. BUT..what if you believe in Heaven and Hell? What if you went one place and they went to another? Then for eternity you would live with the memories and love for those you would never see again..
OH..I guess this is kinda off topic, but it was just a thought.
I don't want to get old, but at the same time I don't want to live forever.
And what if living forever meant you still aged. Who wants to age forever, you would be like a living skeleton, like the living dead and that would be fun, you would want to die way before then. At least I would, but then again, I want to die before I get 40 or 50 or 60 something sometimes.

A number of people interpret this as a Tithonus deal (Tithonus
being the greek mythical man who was granted eternal life,
but not eternal, so they he kept growing older and more frail
until eventually he was turned into a grasshopper, where he
continues to cry out for death).
It isn't.
It's just living forever as you are, or dying like normal people.

Not at all, it is actually quite a relevant point, since it goes to the
argument against immortality.
You are right about potentially missing loved ones even in death,
with heaven and hell being a seperation. However, since one can't
know where one is "going" (and where one's family is "going"😉,
then eternal life can be painful, since such a person may believe
that death would bring reunion.
Also, I think that some Christians believe that one's memories
are erased upon entering heaven, I guess so that one can be
entirely devoted to the worship of God.
And, if one doesn't believe in heaven or hell, then
eternity is especially painful, since it means living on without
those that one grew up with and loved (even if their faces fade
away).
Ofcourse, I am assuming that everyone cares about their
family and friends and loved ones that much. Some people
may find the benefits of immortality out-weighing any emotional
suffering.
In dying I will only regret not knowing the "whole" of human history. I have a pretty good idea at what has come before me but....do we achieve utopia? Do we wipe ourselves out? Do we ever really get into space? Is there other life out there?
I don't neccessarily want to live forever, but I sure would like to know the answers to all the questions that may eventually be answered...
*sigh*
