Nah, the PC Gamer 50 best games are what the 50 best games are. Alot of them didnt make any sort of history. Rise Of Nations which is basically an better updated version of the Age Of Empire's with tanks is a great game, but it didnt make history.Far Cry didnt make histrory and same did Unreal Tournment 2004. They're great games but compared to Half Life, Dune 2 and others, they dont come close in terms of history.

The Wright Brothers were known for developing the airplane. Games mentioned in PC Gamer are there for how good the games. But does that make it history?

I dont think the games being featured in a top 50 in a mag counts as making history.

Id say games that make history make a direct impact on how games are made/played, look at Doom/Wolfenstein for example, that started a revolution in gaming!
