there are many games that made history, but i dont like all of em, eg, half life. but then there are games like the FINAL FANTASY SERIES{specially ff9}, then theres CRONO TRIGGER and CRONO CROSS. thers VAGRANT STORY, KINGDOM HEART, METAL GEAR SOLID{PS1 VERSION}, SILENT HILL SERIES.

I agree, as much as i love silent hill (i wonder how you can tell? 😛) i wouldnt say it made history, id say RE1 definatly did though.
