i have always ben saying summong lightning from the sky- you assumed i wasn't and showed me that pic. she summons the lightning and can verify the blast of the bolt. she has great control over it. and someone said that storm can't destroy a sentinal?? read days of the future past or AOA cause she took out tons
I verily doubt she can vary the strength on a bolt of lightning from the sky. I'm pretty sure it works just like a transformer in that point A has a built up of electrons until the charge is great enough to jump to point B. If it's lower it won't jump. And that point is beyond most humans to survive unless luck is on their side.
She can vary the strength of lightning from the sky. She creates lightning and all other weather related affects through manipulating energy patterns. She has taken out all of the xmen before or should i say emma frost did when she used a mind transfer device on storm. Emma knocked unconscious all the xmen with a low yield lightning. That was emma for gods sake who didnt have a clue how to use storms powers. Serious swanky id go and read up on storm because she can very well vary the strength of lightning from the sky. She can and has been able to generate lightning herself from her body and she can shoot it virtually instantaneously. If u read xmen regularly you'll know theres quite a few other weather related affects she can pull off very quickly if need be. If she does so then she tends to over do it and put a bit too much power into it but in a situation where shes fighting to the death thats hardly a disadvantage. She has been able to generate a gale force wind from nowhere just like that when she was being held by marrow in the morlock sewers which she used to repel her enemies who had her from behind at gunpoint . She has been able to create an area of such intense cold she rendered not only her polymer restraints brittle but also the surrounding balcony which she had to flee from cos it fell though. That was in a matter of seconds. Dont confuse the comic storm with the one in the cartoon cos the efficiency and potency of her powers is completely different. The cartoon one would take about ten mins to create a hurricane the comic storm would do it in seconds. A lot of the cartoon representations of the characters were different compared to their comic counterparts. I mean omega level jean grey in the cartoon would cry about having to lift a car. The reason i brought up all that stuff about the cartoon is because how some of you are talking about storms powers are as if you've just watched the cartoon and made up your minds from that.
I'm not talking about the cartoon. The reason I say it would take time to summon these things is because doing them instantly would cause ungodly environmental damage and most likely kill everybody in the area even if the effects of the weather themselves weren't lethal.
So Storm can summon lightning from the sky. Lightning is lightning. There's not much you can do to effect the strength while still causing it to fire. Even bolts on the "weaker" side of the spectrum are deadly to a normal bodied person.
lightning can easily kill people yes, we all agree on that. but this doesn't change the fact that storm is able to control the intensity of the bolt. besides even if she can't she has done this before and the character was unconsious so it proves that she has some control over it. besides just create a monsoon and then hit the ground. lightning will course through the ground taking everything in ite path out.
what?? storm is fully capable of beating cyclops and he is her but thats only if he can hit her which is debatable seeing as he already missed while she had no powers. she doesn't even have to hit him to take him out- she doesn't even have to see him to take him out and finally she doesn't even have to be on the battle field to take him out.
look i get what your saying but he also missed more than once when she didn't have powers- and there is to many possibilities that he can miss. and while cyke is TRYING to hit her he might but thats might. she will be attackihng while he tries to hit her and she doesn't even have to hiy him to take him out
