Fame

It seems that North American culture is obsessed with fame. Both those that are famous, and the desire to become famous. The fact that people actually know the names of, or care as to the exploits of, people like Joey Buttofuoco (sp?), Paris Hilton or any of the other no talent hacks that are polluting the media is disturbing.

Reality T.V. now has "regular appearances" on different shows by people who possess absolutely no talent and are famous for nothing other than being on reality T.V.

You see girls lifting their tops as soon as a camera is put in front of them and guys going to all lengths to complete "jack-ass-like" stunts on video in hopes that it will get on T.V.

Our culture of fame has even produced Killers who want recognition and fame for their exploits. Everybody wants to be a singer, a model or an actor. Most disturbingly are the embarrassing situations that people are willing to put themselves in, or the personal moments that they are willing to expose for a shot at being famous or seen on t.v.

I was just interested in other people's take on this. What would you do for fame? Do you care to be famous? What do you think at others attempts to be famous.

People want to be respected, adored and worshiped. They all want to be setting a trend for someone else. Thats the reality.

Its about the money and such respect when everyone knows who you are. Many girls get to porn business for such reasons and many are exploited.

Its nauseating. The whole such industries are full of false people, false attitude and a trend promoting low self esteem.

Fame?

I hated that programme when I was a kid.

erm... i have no idea who that first person is 😕

and i think there are someppl in the world who doesn't care about fame 😕

Would I want to be famous? No. I'm certainly not talented enough at anything to be famous for any reason. Stuff like reality TV is bullshit, in my opinion. And besides which, I sure as hell wouldn't want the whole country/world following my every move...sorry, but I like my privacy!

Fame is overrated.

people today are pretty obsessed with fame

for me it'd be interesting to be an actor or something for a while but I would be bored and annoyed quite soon.

I would like to be famous in sports though; not really for the attention but just to be able to play at such a high level of competition- that's my kinda fame

It seems that North American culture is obsessed with fame
its the same here, oh and mech
"I got more in me
And you can set it free
I can catch the moon in my hands
Don't you know who I am
Remember my name
Fame, I'm gonna live forever
I'm gonna learn how to fly high
"

The weirdest thing I'd do to be famous would be show my butt in a movie 😂 I wouldnt do frontal tho...😛
but yes I'd luv 2 b famous.. the limos... the parties... the crowds....the money!!!
it's all great droolio

Everyone wants their 15 minutes of fame. It's not unusual.

I'm sure everyone would like to be famous, whether they're man enough to accept it or not

Actually I wouldnt. Not in the way of the movie stars or singers or models.

If Id like to be famous Id like it to be because I wrote a good book, came out with a good theory or done something sagnificant for the world as opposed to shaked my ass and took my clothes off.

Besides, what goes up, must come down - such fame fades quickly.

What I mean, is that I think everyone would really like the world to appreciate something/someone (😛) he/she did 😬

I'd pay anything to see that. 😉

Fame is nothing, respect is something.

Some of the most respected people in the world aren't even known by mainstream humanity.

Some of the worst, most known and famous humans in the world are in posters on little kids rooms.

I don't care for fame, I don't want it. If I became famous through music (which is the only way I would, I don't care to do anything else) it wouldn't be because the record company put me out there or I over marketed myself. I'm not a product or a prostitute, therefore I am in no need of selling myself.

Integrity is what I'd always have, if I got respect from people I respect, as a result, that would be all I needed. Fame is irrelevant. It's nothing special at all.

Fame would mean something if only the exceptional became famous but now everyone is. Now that everyone's famous, nobody is...in hindsight.
