Is it really so hard to accept that Kyo and Iori might just be a little stronger than Terry? I mean seriously, even the creators at SNK stated as much... 😕

I don't hate Terry, never did, he's one of the coolest and most original designs ever, Although brain says they fubared his games plot to make sure he'd win unassisted... (And in some ways he's right) BUT, none of that withstanding, Terry 's an original and unique design, not taking away from that.

HOWEVER, That certainly doesn't mean he has to be the single most powerful fighting game hero SNK ever made either, The scope for KOF's plot demanded that they make a more powerful cast of characters, and while they included guys like Terry and Ryo in KOF's lineup, the sheer scope needed someone with more POW to their shots... Kyo was their answer, And lets face it, the $h!t that the KOF series threw at him makes what Terry fough in the FF series look like a cakewalk...

Did not say that dude. If that were they case SNK should have never made Fatal Fury or AOF they should have just been created into KOF. Remember Kyo was created to hold his own not to best Terry...or Ryo for that matter. I am sorry but I feel Kyo gets spotlight too much.

I have heard enough Terry bashing from I-Drop. and I have heard enough of Kyo bashing from my idiot fanboy friend in my country. I like both Terry and Kyo and if someone dare to insult them in front of me, then I'll do something about it.

Now let me say that I like I-Drop... he is really cool while speaking outside these forums. Though his Terry bashing makes my Kyo bashing seem like a cakewalk. By anychance did you kick your friends a$$?

Remember, AOF and FF where created much earlier than KOF was.

And I didn't state that Kyo, or any of the KOF originals where made specifically to better any characters from FF or AOF, However, their powers are designed to fight far tougher oppoents, thats the only reason I can conclude that they are a few pegs higher in the power stakes..

Kyo does get a monsterous amount of the spotlight now, but only for KOF, and since KOF is SNK's biggest money making fighting game franchise, thats the only reason why Kyo is more popular, more recognisable and why his fanbase is so big, he's the hero of the biggest franchise.... 😖hrugs:

kick my friend's ass? you can say so. he's a SF fanboy and he said Ryu can won against Goku's kamehameha with his shinkuu hadouken while he said even a baby can defeat Kyo using his uri** and extinguished his flames. my emotion makes me angry and I challange him in CvS. I defeat him in capcom vs SNK game and finally I can laugh his ass off.

Sighs....your right man... you are absouletly right. I recall in another forum, some poster reguarded Terry,Ryo and others as nothing more than slot fillers in KOF. While Kyo may have the flames and power I dont think he is the better fighter than Terry. He has a destiny to seal Orochi. I guess Kyo is the top hero in SNK which I have alot of problems with but it's complicated.

Hey mate, make no mistake, I personally think pre 96 Kyuo was $h!t with a capital 'S', Although he had more power, his technique was craptacular... Not to mention Terry would have had a vast experience edge.

Post 96 though, Kyo received a crushing defeat by then, and was forced to train and redevelop himself, Nothing like a loss to make a person stop sucking so hard and actually put his nose to the grindstone and train.

Basically in terms of story, it boils down to this, Terry can have more skill, more finess, more experience and even more heart that Kyo ever did BUT, all that fades into obscurity when your best moves do about as much damage as a water pistol does to a fire hose...

Although, thats an interesting connundrum... since Kyo has had to battle overwhelming odds himself before, most notably Orochi and Igniz... Thats more like a water pistol vs a tsunami...

I can laugh his ass off.

You just reminded of something. As well as the HK KOF comics, there was also the Real Bout 2 comics. I have four issues. Terry fights Geese in two of the issues, and gets his ass handed to him badly. Actually the writers made Terry look like a herb than anything. I wish I had a scanner.

Man, that comic was confusing. At first, I couldn't tell if the fights ended or not or did someone actually die in the fights.

And I think they really exaggerated Hugo's height. I mean, he's freakin MASSIVE. He's big enough to cover Mai's whole body with just his hands? Come on. 😬

If I had a scanner I'd put the english versions up. Another thing I don't like is you can't always tell if someone's thinking or talking.
