Evil Ryu vs Violent Ken

Started by legacy9213 pages

you ever notice that Ryu is a dedicated martial artist he spends 56131843164354131651 amount of his time training (lol Ryu goes to restaurants in his Gi LOL thats how commited he is) jks , n when it comes to ken he likes to relax n carefree training but not as commited as ryu(settling down with his family n Eliza)

yet when it comes down to sparring eachother Ken is always or near Ryu's level he makes up in lack of power with speed.

now if ken can keep up with ryu even thought ken is lazy i believe if Ken trained and was dedicated enough like ryu he could surpass him

V.Ken could win

* that's what i've been trying to point out... Ryu is uber-dedicated to his training, while Ken is not... but when they spar, Ken can keep up with Ryu... do the math... ๐Ÿ™‚

ken is natural?

Again, you have proven nothing as to why Ken is better then Ryu.

Storyline-wise, gameplay-wise, Ryu has been overall better then Ken, case closed.

My stupid scenarios????

LOL...yes, guys like the Wolfe Bros, Watson, Apoc, Jeff, Kunai, JWong, Choi, Valle, Tomo etc, etc, the list goes on, are all stupid, because the scenario's I've showed you in-game are even utilized at the highest lvls of Street Fighter gameplay even by them.

I will end this debate, simply because it's getting nowhere now, your doing nothing but trolling and just simply arguing for the sake of arguing.

As for me, nothing know what how Street Fighter is played like at the highest lvls, these are just some videos to show you...

Here's a video of Watson back in SSFII days in 1994, or the early-mid 90's day of SF, arguably the pinnacle of the Street Fighter competition in the world.

Watson (Ryu/Guile) vs Jesse (Ken/FeiLong)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4kEU_TtIUg

My second video is a match up of Jeff vs Daigo...in case peeps don't know, Jeff was the #2 BEST Street Fighter II player in the US during WW/CE/HF/Super, only Tomo The Legend Ohira was superior (Tomo Ohira played in over 150+ tournaments, most of them where huge tournaments, and out of all of those, he took 1st place in all but 4 tournaments to where he would take 2nd, and throughout his entire SFII competition lifespan, he was never ever thrown in Loser's Bracket, a feat that even amongst the best SF players today, have not achieved since then).

This match up between Daigo took place in 2004, when Jeff has been away from SF competition for 10+ years, and when Daigo was at his absolute peak in SF abilities...yet when it comes to OldSchool SFII, it shows you that Jeff although he may not be as good anymore, is still good enough to beat the best of the New Generations. Btw, Jeff has not played serious competition since the mid 1990's, so this is a testament to his abilities, or just the testament to the OG SFII players abilities.

Daigo (ST. Ryu) vs Jeff (CE. Guile)

Ps: Yes, Peejayd, lets see some vids of these so called "players" that your talking about that are better then these guys...I'mma be waiting ๐Ÿ˜†

btw, Ryu>Ken, I'm sure by now, most would agree that storyline-wise, and gameplay-wise, Ryu has been shown and proven to be a better fighter then Ken.

No hate to Ken though, still love the guy, but he ain't no Ryu.

* still stubborn as ever... i'm not arguing that Ken is better than Ryu... all i'm saying is, Ken can equal Ryu and both can beat each other... all these things prove that you really have poor reading comprehension... go back to school, Ryu-fanboy... ๐Ÿ™„

Hmmm...

The actual canon SNH Ryu may loose but the the SFA3 SNH Ryu will win.

Hmm, IMO Ken's not as much of a natural as you make him out to be. Ryu only lost in Alpha cause he was distracted, AF2 they may have been equals... SF3, I doubt it... Ryu is a few leagues above ken by then.

* and Ryu is not a god that Ryu-fanboys make him out to be, right? ๐Ÿ™‚

No, he's not a God, but he has more experience and dedication than Ken does, that's why that makes me believe that he'd beat Ken.

I never saw anyone in this forum who called ryu a god. he's not a god but he's good. ๐Ÿ™‚

Who needs figtin skillz when you got nice rides, several houses, millions of dollars, dozens of martial arts trophies and a hot wife? Phuck the life of a monk, I wanna live like Donald Trump.

you guys still going on with that?
Capcom has made it pretty clear Ryu>Ken. the only win Ken got over Ryu was when Ryu wasn't himself. he beat him (probably) before SF1, lost to him in SFA2 when he wasn't himself, has an unconfirmed loss agianst him in SF2, beat him in SF3 (probably) and beat him in SF33'rd strike.

even IF we want to look at their score card ryu has the lead. on top of that, Ryu's had tougher fights. while ken was beating no-name losers in the American tournies, beating up rookies and school girls, ryu was fighting things like Oro, Gouki, Bison etc.

can Ken beat ryu? sure he can. its like Wonder Woman and Superman. you know Supes is superior in both feats and has been said to be so by DC themselves. but if they fought, Diana can definitely beat him. if they fought 10 times, Diana can probably beat him like 3 times. its the same with ken and ryu. ryu's better, is known to be better, is shown to be better. but he's not so much above ken, that ken has no chance of beating him.

Ryu'd beat him 6/10 times any day in the week.

* the only problem i had with mr.just frame re: Ken defeating a "distracted" Ryu was, that he was questioning Ken's win in that match... i rebutted, what's more questionable was Ryu cheapshotted Sagat... i hope you got my point there...

* also, Ken & Ryu sparred & fought each other gazillion times during they their stay on Gouken's training... which i concluded that they (Ken & Ryu) can beat each other... but he claims Ken has no (zero) wins over Ryu at all, which is very illogical because the two are branded as "eternal rivals"...

* true... i only added that, they are also good fighters in US tourneys, just for example: Nash who probably won the US tourneys twice and Ken winning it thrice as a new record... Capcom is really lame screwing Ken like that... Ken should've had fought Bison solo and not with Sakura...

* nice... ๐Ÿ™‚

overall, i like your post. yours seems to be fair and unbiased.

fair and unbiased are two words lotta people here would never use at me, but okay, thanks a lot. been trying to say that for a while myself. i give credit where its due.

the only problem i had with mr.just frame re: Ken defeating a "distracted" Ryu was, that he was questioning Ken's win in that match... i rebutted, what's more questionable was Ryu cheapshotted Sagat... i hope you got my point there.

yeah i get it. and its only been a year or two since ryu's cheapshot win so its not like he's too far above ken.

also, Ken & Ryu sparred & fought each other gazillion times during they their stay on Gouken's training... which i concluded that they (Ken & Ryu) can beat each other... but he claims Ken has no (zero) wins over Ryu at all, which is very illogical because the two are branded as "eternal rivals".

they are not just said to be eternal rivals but ryu even says in SF3 or SF33strike "through the countless battles, you have always remained my greatest opponent" or something along those lines. fact of the matter is, if ryu takes ken too lightly he's in for a real beating. probably that was what happened in SFA2 IMO. through the dialogue between them, Ryu was acting way too cocky going so far as to ask ken if "need a schooling like the one i gave sagat". as far as i'm concerned, that probably is what made ryu unfocused becuase being cocky is not his style nor is arrogance.

true... i only added that, they are also good fighters in US tourneys, just for example: Nash who probably won the US tourneys twice and Ken winning it thrice as a new record... Capcom is really lame screwing Ken like that... Ken should've had fought Bison solo and not with Sakura.

Nash wasn't around when Ken won the tournaments, which sucks. Infact, Ken invented the shoryureppa during either the 1st or the 2nd US tournament and the worst part is he invented it in desperation becuase he was losing to some no-name "man in blue karate gi" (could be alen from SFEX). now that kind of treatment is what pisses me off when it comes to ken. From what i've seen, Ken is more popular than Ryu. According to what Brainchild's told me, the toys they sell of SF in US even have Ken as more expensive than ryu's. they should give ken some better competition and more storyline.

* exactly my point... they can beat each other... however, many would react negatively if someone said Ken can beat Ryu, i really don't know why.

don't know either. they were always shown as near equals. check out the SF4 intro and tell me ryu was having an easy time with ken. they even show them fighting in SFEX3 and Ken knocked around Ryu several times...and even got to taunt him. Ken rocks.
"Shoryuken! Shoryuken! And a shoryuken!"

Excluding the "no-name losers" segment, that was the first golden post I've seen from you in two years, Sado.

U no Ryu could just mooch off Ken, Ken's a nice guy. Ryu moves N with Ken...sounds like a good sitcom.
