The Devil who else?

Does the Devil have free will?

Yes, and He chose to be evil.

Where does evil come from?

Our capacity for thought. Just like art, love and fear.

So why doesn't god give some of use the near limitless power that the devil has so we can stop him from kill thousands of innocent people?

We do have unlimited power to have victory of the devil, if we believe and serve Jesus the Christ.

Why does the devil exist at all though?

To prove our love and commitment to God.

That seems like a heavy burden to put on the creatures of the universe who haven't had the luck be blessed with the teachings of Christ.

All those alien beings, they have to go to hell no matter how good and noble they were.

So sad.

your puny human mind wouldn't understand

related, this interpretation means that not only are humans unable to comprehend the morality of God, on some major issues, we are dead wrong. While all humans would see the unwillingness of a doctor to save a child as pigheaded, selfish, and wrong, etc.

Why do we need to prove that? God created us and put us in the situations we live in, he knows whether we are committed to and love him or not. Also isn't it a bit unfair, I mean some starving Hindu child hardly ever even having heard of God surely doesn't have it nearly as easy in "loving and being committed to" God as say a white, affluent US Citizen having been brought up with Christianity and God from an early age, no? The odds seem to be stacked in that person's favor from the start, why does God do that?

God created paradise in the Garden of Eden. No disease, no pain, no work, no government oppression, and only one commandment. The devil tempted us (Eve first and then Adam through her) and we (mankind) sinned against God, and brought all the hardship on ourselves. That's why Jesus the Son of God was sent to reconcile us back to God the Father through his sacfrice at the Cross. He took our sins and disobedience for his own, so through Him we can be saved. Mankind caused mankind's life to be hard through sin, and everyone will have the opportunity to be saved.

that's how I define benevolent at least...

Do I have to repeat my questions, or will you answer them?

Why are some people far favoured than others?

Why are some people far favoured than others?

The age old question why does bad things happen to good people, or why are some people seemingly favored in circumstances than others. Maybe it is the hardest question of life. Were it not for the heartaches, disappointments and sufferings of this world, we might forget the greater destiny that lies before us. Perhaps the sufferings of this world were designed, in part, to cause us nor to be satisfied here, but to lift our eyes toward that world to come where "He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more; neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more." (Rev. 21.4.)

In short those who overcome more here for Christ will have a greater reward in Heaven eternally.

He doesn't HAVE to. He exists because he thought himself better than God and got himself thrown out of Heaven.

Thats not why he was made... He was an angel originally.

Actually, that isn't how it works. I don't have the verse on me, but there is one that says that those who don't have the option of learning of Christ are exempt from that specific rule.

PS. I'm typing this from a 3ds and its pretty hard...

Evil comes from a different perspective on life.

from invisible beings bent of destroying you of course 😉.

No we do which is what God gaves us but the Devil temptes us to do evil things.
