I thought I said this already, but I guess I didn't. You are only allowed to bring yourself, your skills, and your "trademark" weapons. You are not allowed to use other's spare weapons, or else it would basically defeat the purpose of having different people, you'd just have clones. If a comrade dies in battle, a teammate may take that weapon and use it, but opponents are not allowed to.

I'm not trying to control the thread, I'm trying to keep the peace. Homosexuality, politics, religion, etc. lead to arguments and are way off topic. i've never seen Cyclops visor be broken from a punch.......PR you seem to know more about him, you ever seen a regular human break that visor thing he wears?
it waould have to be an accurate punch (the visor window is only a couple of inches at best), and a hard one... he did break it himself in an old comic by storing up a blast then shooting, it, but ive never seen someone punch through it...
The stipulation that combat begins on a handshake gives me all the edge I need. It will only take less than 3 seconds to turn the handshake into a reverse armbar and put 20-30 AP rounds into Cyke's lower back and kidney with my M-60 (basic hand to hand military training), and I come to the dance with it drawn. That's also more than enough time for the VX gas (which was released upon our hands clasping in the handshake) to render Cyke useless. Cyke's beams are a hindrance in such extemely close quarters combat, they're better suited for taking out opponents from a distance, especially against someone as highly trained and battle hardened as me. Plus, his own moral hang-ups will make him hesitant to unleash full force near civilians (which is displayed numerous times in the comics). That's all I need. Cyke is a military trained physical specimen with concussive eye beams, he's not superhuman physically in terms of strength, speed or reflexes. I can and will take him, and then I'm gunning for Canary (if she's not already down), then the Bat...
cyclops has combat training...
and your assuming too many things:
that you'd be able to perform the armbar, that cyke wouldnt notice the poison...
also, cyclops' beams are no hindrance close quarters, he's a surgeon with those blasts...
and as for the moral part? if castle goes for the kill cyke wont hold back... and thats assuming you can disable the visor in the first place... not a chance...
Cyclops is almost peak human, he trains five days a week in the danger room preparing to face beings like apocalypse, the juggernaut and magneto, he is well capable of handling punisher....
Astonishing X-Men #4 & 5: Cyke gets gunned down by S.W.O.R.D agents working for Ord of Breakworld and lays there bleeding and hallucinating images of Jean. He eventually gets up, but it shows he can get capped. There's an image of the back of Cykes armor ripped open from the shots in AXM #4, pgs. 16-17.

On this team with Batman on the roster he's B League, maybe even C league.
Maybe for Dr. Doom with Cyke's powers, but that's not in Scott's personality, especially with civilians around.

and cyke has one more advantage, he's live the latter part of his life as a blind man... sure he has the shades, but simple things like shaving, getting dressed, he does them blind... he's more attuned to his surroundings than most people believe...

I dont see how punisher can take cyke if the two must shake hands unless:
If cyke can shake hands while looking at punisher, then punisher can shake hands and have a gun pointed at cyclops.
or at least make it where cyclops has to touch his visor to unleash his blast. It's almost fair that way.
