we never chose a 'clone' we weren't aware dead characters couldnt be chosen...

alright csap is not flash he can;t dodge anything. given that she can lift a building with wind ushing a shield out of course won't be a problem. all she needs is a second to do attacks. they are both standing in a melal conductor. if she sends a stray lightning bolt somewhere only he will get fried since she is very very resistan to lightning. it won't affect her nearly as enogh as it will him. pinning him dowm right away isn't such a feat ot problem. if he's pinned down no way that shield is making it to her. face it storm is just too good for cap

not really... he's quicker than her... he can throw his shield before she casts anything...

so now he moves faster than speed of thought?

no... storms weather casting is not instantaneous, we've been through this before... she needs several seconds... he doesnt... the only thing on his mind will be tossing that shield...

it takes a thought and the weather goes at her command. she wants to shoot lightning out her hands it happens. she wants the winds to become a lot stronger it happens. she just shoots a small bolt at the ground and he's donme

she doesn't need several seconds. i have seen many times she flies up at almost full speed. the winds propell her so the winds move at her command almost or baswically instantley. i have seen man7y times the lightning automatyically comes out her hands in a second maybe less. she just hits the ground and he's done. c'mon your a smart guy you must realize that storm will beat cap

i am smart, and i know that storm's casting takes seconds, she isnt a rocket, she cant just take off at full speed, she needs to accelerate...

and if cyclops can dodge her lightning then captain america can...

she can't fly far in a cage, Cap's reactions are much faster (though not being superhuman) and are enough to let him act long enough ahead of Storm to take her out with the shield

That didn't come out the way I intended. Sorry PR. I know you and Scoob wouldn't pull anything shady purposely. The current incarnation stip was stated on page 39, and then changed to LATEST incarnation on pg. 48.

It's understandable you wouldn't know she was dead. It wasn't as big of an event as Supes dying or the Parallax thing.

i honestly thought she was still alive... 😬

Oh, and on the Storm Vs Cap thing, Cap's a much better fighter, but the environment is in Storms favor considering the scenario. They're in a cage. If Cap comes in and tosses the shield at Storm, all she has to do is drop and conjure chain lightning and channel it through the cage. Caps fried or incapacitated, and then Storm can either pin him to the cage wall and and electrocute him more, freeze him, or create a vortex and slam him into the walls of the cage at high velocity. If it took place in an open area I'd give it to Cap easily with his skills, but since he's limited in maneuvering space and lacks any type of cover, the variables are mostly in Storm's favor.

Lady, how big is the cage, height/width/length? Is this like, say, the UFC rings, or a wrestling ring?

i'd switch this around completely and say that Storm would win in an open area but Cap wins close up

i'd agree...

i hate cap, i really do, but he is accurate with that shield...

Well, not open as in a clearing or desert or soccer field, but on the streets in say New York or London Cap would have a much better chance. Cap would have places to take cover and through his shield from, as well as get the drop on Storm. If he's right in front of her with no place to hide and just his shield, if he misses with his first shield toss he's screwed. Lightning will be flashing everywhere and she'd create a strong wind/jet stream to pin Cap down or toss him into a wall. Then she just unleashes on him. He has to small of a margin for error against Storm because he doesn't have too many offensive options. Storm's arsenal is too vast to be stuck in an enclosed space with her, especially when you are only an enhanced human with no actual powers other than athleticism.

And those WWE cages are crap. 😆 Well, at least the ones they usually use for cage matches. Maybe the 'Hell in a Cell' cage would be better suited. Gives more room for maneuvering at least, feel me.

i do agree, but you're assuming cap will miss...

Well, depending on the size of the ring, and considering they are in eachother's line of sight, it's more than likely Storm would see it coming and simply fall down to avoid it, then unleash chain lightning. Storm's not exactly a amateur fighter herself. No where near Cap's league, or the 2-3 leagues beneath him, but I'm sure she could dodge a 3 foot circular shield being thrown at her from about 15-25 feet away. She's faced worse in the Danger Room and similar fighting Callisto. That's why I say Cap's margin for error is too small. If he doesn't connect his first shield strike he's screwed considering Storm's arsenal.

Cap must have missed slower than peak human targets at least twice in the last 60 years...... she could get lucky.......... i suppose..........

NOTE: do you find it hard to detect sarcasm in online responses?

lol

Cap can ricochet his shield can't he?

If he can he'd throw it at an angle in the event she'd dodge, if she'd dodge it, and then as she strikes him with anything it'll bounce of something, and then come back at her, and hit her.

I'd think it be a double KO type of thing if she puts enough force into a lightining attack to take him out instead of just trying to keep him down. He really doesn't have much room to dodge but he's got a good enough room to bounce the shield off stuff being that its a cage.
