But seriously, she'll see it coming and have a chance to dodge, Scoob. It's like dodgeball (for lack of a better comparison). If he tosses the shield from the onset of the match she'll see it coming and I'm sure she could dodge it from 15-25 feet away. I'm not peak human and I have a bad knee from Football (American Football, not Football/Soccer) and I can still more than likely dodge a large object coming at me from across the room at high speeds. It's not like he's shooting a gun, he's tossing a large metal disc, and has to telegraph the motion when he tosses the thing due to it's size. Imagine a man tossing a metal garbage can lid at you from across your backyard, and you see him doing it. Could you dodge it Scoob?

But she still has enough time to hit him with winds, or lighting, or whatever she will hit him with, and if its wind he just gets knocked back really hard, and she's hit with the shield. That's reasonable. But, realistically, yes, the shield could ricochet off the wall, but Cap can't control the direction Storm dodges in. He could anticipate it, but he can't alter the trajectory of the shield once it's thrown to compensate of he's wrong. If he tosses the shield so that it ricochets back at say 30 degrees downward left, and she rolls or dives to the right, Cap's screwed because her eyes will be chalk white by the time his shield gets back to him and chain lightning will be shooting throughout the conductive cage they are in and electrify Cap, then the rest of Storm's arsenal comes to bear.
As I said before, his margin for error is to small given the circumstances.

Have you scenes where all the flying Xmen take off at once? Does it ever show Storm standing there tapping her toes waiting for the wind to get strong while Rogue and the other flyers rocket off? No. If she wanted to create a full force tornado to tear the ring apart, that would take some time, but enough wind to pin one man and a larger shield to the side of a cage and a small lightning bolt to knock him out with isn't exactly going to take forever.
alright if she creates a tornado around herself then the shield won't hit her if he throws it at an angle/ if he throws it directly at her it is highly doubtful it will hit her cause she can either dodge seeing as she has to do things like that in the danger room or she can create a gale force to propell the shield back at him. in this one comic i have storm takes off and is going the ame speed as cannonball. this was an urgent situition so they won't be goin g slow. storm has to carry her own weght when flying and if she can take off the same speed as cannonball then she can propell a shield coming at her. storm has dodged gun-shots rfm highly trained assasins, i doubt ducking under a shield will be much of a problem
and khell you said that storm has no fighting expierence herself. that couldn't be farther from the truth. she fought and became champion in the arena, she was once w/out powers and easily took down sabertooth but even thought he got right back up she made him bleed with out even trying and when she didn't have powers she was still an assential person to the team and she also beat cyke w/out her powers. she is a great fighter but is so used to flyinh that she forgets the ground is two-dimensial as said by bishop in 8uncanny x-en #455 the one where psylock returned
