I think that whatever happens, you have to be a Jedi that has the choice to be cruel to peeps, or you have the choice to be a friggin pacifist. Hence the name Knightsof the Old Republic. Another story line like kotor 1 would piss me off. i wanna start out from the beginning with the force. Not magically get it after about 10 hours of play. You cant be a republic soldier cuz think about it. No one in their right mind would send a simple soldier to go get revan. They would send a jedi who could actually comprehend revans abilities and possibly defend him/her self.
If anyone has heard of the Ultimate Saber Mod, then you know how great it is. In K3 they need to incorporate it. I dont want to have to find the color crystals, i just wanna pick my color to make my dude look cool. You also get to pick your hilt design and what not.
Again, hoodies all the way, and new classes(wep master, master, watchman whether jedi or sith) no level cap, and when they do that, there needs to be a way to actually get to a high level besides sitting in the korriban holo tomb for hours up end slaughtering the Hssiss with FStorm. And of course new powers, or atleast crush storm where you choke slam like 10 peeps at once....
Last thing. Once you have dominate mind, and about 40 or 50 on the persuade, you can get anyone to do anything. I dont care what it is. But "extreme commands may be resisted" is bullshit. I am ready to have someone kill themselves rather than wasting my lightsaber batteries and FP to kill them. kno what i mean?!?
i really hope they make better looking armour, and there should be stronger armour as well like it have a defence bonus +20 and dexterity bonus +10. I also hope the they put onderan back in with Dxun or atleast have a mandorlorian clan involved quite a bit.
In Kotor 2 making someone a Jedi was so easy, I just hope they make it a bit harder to make them become a Jedi. And Not every bloody person you get can become one
oh yah... and about classes... i genuinely think that KOTOR 1s way of only showing you the force after you have shown an adept ability in it is the best way... cuz the whole make up of an RPG is missions, or goals, and thats what getting the force was in the first KOTOR, so it added anticipation... KOTOR 2 just threw the force atcha and i think that is the wrong thing to do, the force *and* your lightsaber should be things that you EARN at the same time, cuz ur a sissy if you just want everything in life handed to you

what do you think about that???
by the way? any new news about our game??
I dont know if this has already been said, but i cant see how any can have the assumption that Revan was completely evil.... as the Ugly Witch said in TSL, Revan made choice out of nessesity to take on the mantle of the sith lord, it wasnt out of pure "dark side" intentions. You forget that he also saved the republic from the mandalorians, and on that journy he found something out that needed to be sorted out in the far reaches of the outer rim.
Maybe he did what he did and turned Jedi to his cause:- not to become sith but to become something else, unbias to jedi or sith beliefs so that they can together defeat this major threat that Revan seen. Maybe Traya seen this side of revan and also decided to go "Grey" in the meantime whilst with the exhile to train the Exile so that he could follow Revan in much the same fashion, as if she was taking up where he left off.
On the other hand Traya stated that Revan might just be responding to the call of "home" and that may itself provide a new twist, like, given we dont know what species he actually is, there might be more of his kind maybe equal or even more powerful in the force but a more destructive version, and the union of a pure force user like Revan and a death of the force user like the Exile combined can battle this new kind of threat.
I hope that Kotor III goes deeper in the Plot of TSL and clears up alot of things and maybe some imaginitive thinking could create a story that actually makes you think instead of being told by some horrible old hag that sit there and complains everytime u do something. dont get me wrong she was a great character but i didnt like the fact that most of your influence with her had to be obtained by going down the dark side path...
I hope u like my little rant and please add to it if you like. i thought it might be a nice story twist
i think that was very well said about the plot being like that... but then again, Kreia did serve well by just handing you the info about the past, i would hate to have to talk to everyone just to figure out wtf has happened, i think we all just thought Bastila was good as a warrior, an advisor, and a historian in K1
I wouldnt want to talk to everyone either, I hated running around to everyone on the Ebon Hawk everytime i came back from a planet, but if they do put an influence system back into it i would rather have a jolee type character telling me off rather than kreia, as good as she was, she didnt really force me to change my opinions on anything if you catch my drift.
I think the influence system needs a brand new tune-up. Ive been looking at the new game Bioware are bringing out called Mass effect, although i dont really want the combat style in new kotor, i find the influence and dialog to be superb and would add the whole (threaten / attack) option that alot of the ppl on this forum has put accross that they want.
As for the fighting itself, there should be more emphasis on defence and skill with the weapon that you are using, and definatly bring in the loss of limb effect if you havent got a sheild (which no one uses) into effect. maybe before passing your trials you have lessons on different styles from the masters and you cant pass until you have mastered them. this would be useful so you can get used to changing styles. i never really used them in tsl, to be honest they never entered my mind until i completed like 20 times
but about the combat and learning the different modes, think about it, the plots have always been that you have already learned the styles and all the force stuff, and that ur just remembering, so they would need to start you off without knowing what about the force for that to work, and it could work very well
