KOTOR III

It would be great if it was 100 hr long, whit two completely different pats, one for the Light side and the other for the Dark side.

Well... they really can't do that, besides being extremely large for PC editions, and it would take a shizzzzzzzzz load of time to produce. They need to stick to a strong, central plot that the game follows closely and doesnt wander away from, it also needs to tie in subplots into the actual plot (I liked how subplots of Dantooine in K2 tied into the battle you would face against Mercs). But my biggest hope is that they dont have Exile OR Revan as NPC's, i wish for them to merely be advisors or just in movies and gossip... cuz having Revan or Exile as a certain look, sex, and voice will piss some ppl off.

How about they both have hods and a mask and when they talk its just text, like when you talk.

I personally don't think that will work. Because people will stillw ant to hear the voices but the masks could work. Cause Revan had hios sick mask and robes. They would just need to make creative robes for the exile.

Oh and they can make it 100 hrs. Yes I'm bringing it up again...Oblivion was easily 100 hrs and could have been more without the guide (I did just because it was discounted). K3 could be made into a huge game like that. I do know that the load times could be quite long, which would still piss people off but I was willing to sit through the outrageous load screens in k1 for the amazing game.

Holy shit. I just looked at your profile, Count Makashi, and we have the same birthday cept urs is 5 years ealier than mine...

weird

All the cool guys are born on the 24 October.

Oh of course.

and this is completely off topic, but would any of you guys happen to know any cool original band names...cus my band is havin a hard time comin up with one...

But just to say something that has to do with k3, I want it to kick as much ass as Oblivion =D

i agree that the Revan and the Exile in your party part is not gonna work at all. Revan and the Exile simply cannot be secondary characters in the game... and, if you notice, youre always the most powerful character in your party... so youd have to be more powerful than the Exile AND Revan... its simply not possible

CHAPTERS!!!! You could be able to play as Revan and Exile! im just throwing it out there

I was thinking tha too...but then u should have a new guy and then they'd have to meet up. And it'd get pretty crazy but it might work.

I was sitting and chatting with my mom and I got bored so i picked up the xbox magazine and I randomly opened to a page and I was like wait one minute!! and there was an article on k3. I was stunned.

It was under the heading: The 5 biggest Games coming to Xbox 360 that "the man" doesnt want you to know about yet...

The article reads as follows: (and I'm typing this up so excuse spelling mistakes)

Star Wars: Knights of the Old republic III
Developer: Bioware
Publisher: Lucasarts

WHAT IS IT: Bioware dropped the hammer on the rest of the RPG world - east and west - when it made the original kotor, arguably the greatest Star Wars game ever and easily the xbox's finest RPG. Trusted BioWare ally Obsidian took the reins for kotor II, and though the game fell apart at the end, [I guess even the people at xbox magazine feel as we do] it is still a fantastic , worthwhile follow-up.

WHY IT MATTERS: The first Kotor nearly lapped the competition during our 2003 Game of the Year voting, and gamers have clamored for a next-gen version since whispers of the xbox 360 were first heard. And the buzz in the general videogame community about BioWare's next effort, Mass Effect, is so high - and the footage released to date is impressive - that people are claiming they'll buy a 360 just to play it. If ME ends up being the killer app everyone (including us) thinks it will be, then Kotor III will be an ace up the developer's sleeve that it can use to squeeze a big pay day out of microsoft.

WHAT'S LEAKED SO FAR: Almost-weekly rumors and speculation, but nothing official. BioWare went so far as to publicly deny the game's existance in its web forums.

WHY "THE MAN" DOESN'T WANT YOU TO KNOW ABOUT IT YET: Denial aside, there's no one else that could be prepping kotor III. Obsidian is busy making an Aliens RPG for Sega, while the original kotor team is finishing off Mass Effect. BioWarehas three other teams: the Dragon Age group (PC), the handheld squad (nintendo DS), and the Jade Empire crew, the latter of which haven't announced what they've been doing since Jade shipped in spring 2005. We have a sneaking suspicion their current project is kotor III, but they're not going to derail the Mass Effect hype train by talking about it just yet.

WHEN TO EXPECT IT: Sometime in 2008

This is exactly what it has said and damn that took a long time to type up.

Hope it was worth while.

Wow... that was very... unexpected to say the least... but it makes me sad, cuz '07 just started and '08 seems like forever (imagines self on this same effing post for the next year) But I hope they really utilize the ME engine, cuz i think it might kick some major.... face.

haha yeah i agree

It cant be in 2008, i cant wait that long.

lol They at least need teasers and Progress reports and a site to keep me alive

Yea, trow us a bone or something.

lol me to

I dont think anybody can

I can if they ****in make it good, give me hooded robes, and the loading times are atleast cut in half.

people need to stop complaining about loading times, i have played KOTOR 1 and 2, both on PC and XBOX, and the times never really bothered me. I think you ppl are just too impatient. Also, if they don't load the maps and textures before you get into the map, then it will cause your system to lag pretty hardcore.

but still...the load times were pretty terrible. I remember that I had always hated them. But Morrowind's load times are 10x worse. But at least *they* dont happen every ten steps you take.

Ehhhhh... I guess they never bothered me cuz i did every thing in an area. I'm such a nerd.
