KOTOR III

Started by Riverollv140 pages

They have to Focus on Revan's story. He leaving to the Unknown Regions to fight the True Sith and then the Exile goes to help him... they just can't leave it that way. They have to show what happens to them. Probably you will be a new character, but the best thing would be if you were on mission into the Unknown Regions to find out what happened to Revan and the Exile, and as you say, Exanda Kane, you're "the balance of the Force"... but maybe you'll be Revan.

I hope in the new one, u can customize ur guy much more. Instead of gettin a preset face and shit. I want it to be like the customization in saints row or oblivion. Now there's a lot of options.

and yeah...so many bodies. Just surrounding your guy. Sweet

That would be great.

Of course, they've the foundations with the second game, we do actually need to catch up with old Revan himself again.

Imagine this scenario; The Jedi Order is slowly returning to the galaxy, you are a proespective padawan under instruction from Brianna, Disciple and the like (All Jedi companions from both previous games), learning the ways of the Force.

One night, a strange visitor returns to the Enclave, meeting in closed council with the Jedi Masters.

Hypothetically, this could be Bastila, asked by Revan and the Exile to collect the student being groomed as the Balance between the Heart and the Wound, and bring them to the Unknown Reasons.

This is where my KOTOR wishlist just builds up. Bear with me.

- You meet Revan and Exile, plus a few of the most significant companions from the previous games, all in your party.

- Bastila takes aboard a large Republic Cruiser, akin to the Ravager or the Leviathan, serving as Revan's flagship. Imagine this, as a larger Ebon Hawk (Of course the Ebon Hawk will still be available in this ships hangar)

-Basically, you train on this ship with perhaps, other prospective candidates for this Balance, completing a number of important assignments across the known Galaxy/Republic.

-When your at a certain level or after completing these tasks (reuniting the Mandalorians under Ordo to fight for Revan etc) you all jump back into this ship and off to fight the true Sith in a number of battles and missions, ending with the sacrifice of Revan (The Heart) and Exile (The Wound) and the victory of you (the Balance).

Wishful thinking. love it.

I'm sorry to shoot down your idea, but one of the basic dramatic principles that makes ANYTHING and EVERYTHING interesting is conflict as well as complications. I cannot see myself playing as "just another jedi knight" and having a good game. RPG's have to make you feel like you are different than every other person, so you really can't be balanced. This is just my viewpoint, as I wouldn't be surprised to see a game where you are just another person, but I don't think it would rate very high.

Hey it's a wishlist, your allowed to criticse. I also see your point, but I must admit I'm a bit of a conservative when it comes to new characters, so playing as your average Jedi Knight is simply more appealing than as a demi god of the force, which seems to happen in every SW related game.

That's actually a pretty damn good list, Exanda.

To me, it just sounded like a combination of everybody else's thoughts. For instance, everybody thought u shud start as a padawan being taught by old masters...I dunno. I didn't think it was very exciting prolly cause I've herd it all before.

I agree partially with Danuo, but your analysis (that practically all S.W. games have a "demi-god" main character) is apt as well. 😛

I personally think that although past characters should have cameos or even developed roles in any future KotOR-games, the main plot should not revolve around them. It should deal with a new character and subject matter, and something a bit fresher than we're used to.

The only exception to this that I would fully accept would be if the game revolved around Revan again. 😛

I totally agree. Revan kicked ass.

Yeah Revan's so cool

I'd rather see a new character myself.....just make cameo's & references to revan, exile, & other old companions...

hopefully more choices when creating your characters..than just heads(how bout races/species)

Revan is quite an interesting character.

An ex-flat mate got me into Star Wars EU and this game in particular, it's the only one I own myself, so I don't even pretend to follow the current speculation on the game. So just take it as the wishlist of a casual gamer.

Realistically thinking, I really do not see how they can leave this Revan story hanging and jump onto another new character again.

Creating a new Jedi boy-wonder and waking up with some kind of handicap, whether it be amnesia or exile, in a remote location with a carbon copy of Han Solo can only work so many times.

Just thinking a little here...

We have Revan, the "heart of the force", we have the Exile, a "wound in the force", and now, considering the developers like for beginning a new character, should we not have a "balance in the force"?

Nope, we should have a bandaid of the force... I kid you not 😐

I can almost agree with being "just another jedi..." but it just wouldn't interest me, I would love to be a "Demi-god of the force" just cause you can't tell me it wasnt fun to be the One-Man Soldier to destroy one of the greatest military machines (Star Forge) in K1, and to single handedly defeated THREE Sith Lords and save the galaxy (canon, of course). I just prefer being a beast. As for storylines, I neither criticize nor praise, I only ask that you leave it up to the pro's and not take up space on the post with stories that might not matter.

aww here you go, ruining everybody's fun. jerk.

Yes I am, but that aside, what is the real purpose of posting "stories"?

It's pretty clear or reliable to assume they already have the plan, if not a script for KOTOR 3.

eeerrm theres one problem with the wishlist thing, its really good and I love the reuniting of the mandelorians idea would be great buuuut seeing Revan and the Exile might just be a hope, I mean I think it would be impossible to present them because they are two custom characters but thats just my view, they might be able to present them somehow possible putting Revan in his old robes? I dont know! maybe that can be a little point of disscussion its all yours!

In the canon, Revan is a man. 😉

This may sound kinda sexist, but I say thank god. I just cant imagine a female Revan. It's just not as bad ass. I can, however imagine a female exile. Because the exile wasn't as hardcore.
