It's something we can't avoid,
And something we can't live without.
Falling deep inside it's black holes,
And trying to fight our way out is useless.

Hearts are ripped from chests,
Emotions are tortured,
Eyes turn red,
And tears release the evidence.

The evidence of:
Heartache,
Loneliness,
Decaying souls,
And loss of the internal flame.

It's powered by passion,
And trust.
Lies,
And betrayal,
Are the kryptonite.
