New Beginning
Snatching glances of the world around me,
Through the haze clouding my vision,
The thick, dark, menacing membrane,
Coalescing around this tired, weary body,
Heightened senses come along with the haze,
Now it seems I can detect the smallest things,
Whether they be sounds, smells, or movements,\,
It’s almost like I’ve become a completely new, superior person,
And this I find extremely satisfying,
For exasperated have I become with,
The old, tedious life I’ve been living for so long,
I’m sick of being, feeling unworthy and inferior,
Like the scum found on the bottom of someone’s shoe,
But no more of this will I tolerate,
With a new sense of wellbeing comes something else as well,
A sense of purpose, a way to end all this pain and sorrow,
Because now I can do anything, I’m invincible,
Free to cause havoc on a world turned cold and cruel,
Taking the law into my own hands,
I’ll be sure to see that no one ever feels like I did again,
For the perpetrator of this crime will have to deal with me,
And whether or not they survive this encounter,
Still remains to be seen, to be pondered,
Though I do pity the foolish person who unearths,
This horrific rage that runs through my veins,
For surely they will not survive long after that,
But do you think I will grieve for them,
They who delight in hurting others?
