Depends on the parties and the company you keep. Trust me... not everyone thinks that stoners are the life and soul of a party.
We don't feel the need to be the life and soul of a party, I don't get what you're arguing but it shouldn't be illegal.

No, there most certainly is notplease provide such evidence, because I am not aware of it
these "people" obviously aren't psychologists, and they certainly wouldn't be those who study the effects of drug use
please share these sources with us
Regardless if it wasn't a controlled test I believe that there is more to it. It is allowed for someone to disagree with the results of scientific tests. Especially ones which have so many variables.

How do you have evidence that it's a gateway drug? Marijuana is a very popular drug among a lot of drug users. Of course someone who's done coke or meth has tried weed once in their life. What evidence?
there is limited evidence to suggest that use alone brings someone into contact with harder drugs, something most other people don't experience.
but, this is generally nonsense, as we see with usage rates during the 90s, when the news media had nothing better to do than target raves and ecstacy, pill use actually was higher than pot use among teenagers. People's motivations to use drugs are much better understood by social and cultural forces, not by whether they have seen or done a certain drug.

so basically you are giving us no reason whatsoever to believe what you say?
I don't see why people are getting so irrate, I have seen people be effected by it, I have seen people's lives ruined by it. It may just be a coincidence or something in their mind or physiology but I've seen people go on a downward spiral at the same time that they really got into weed.
This is enough for me to not want it legalised. I'm simply sharing my feelings. I don't want to argue on this because I'll probably lose. Call me ignorrant but personal experiences are enough for me to make up my mind.

people in a downward spiral seek out drugs
people in stress, not yet in a downward spiral, seek out drugs
people who have latent, not observable, psychological issues seem to seek out drugs
what you have described is exactly the social force that tends to drive people into terrible situations. Its almost assured that these people who "ruined their lives with weed" were simply looking for the easiest thing to ruin their lives with.
