Magneto's shields are up in a battle situation.

It's like Ironman having his suit on, you don't go around making threads where Ironman has to put his suit on during the fight, do you? Oh wait....

Triumph was considered greater than Superman in nearly every way, in fact, he was one of the founding fathers of the Justice League, he was Earths greatest hero. Although unlike Superman he was cold and impassionate, and very different than all of the other DC characters, especially in that time-frame....Then the world forgot him. Sound familiar yet?

Actually, Jenkins tends to lean towards Miracleman as inspiration for the Sentry.

One day Magneto will be able to control everything by shifting electrons and protons as he sees feet from atom to atom, mark my words. I know he's badass enough to figure it out,, and Also figure out time-travel and universal teleport.. since time and space are both relative to gravity.. and he'll be omnipotent. Mwha.. and then maybe he could beat Superman. But as is.. no.

interestingly, he has figured out some of those things. wormhole, anyone?
