Perhaps his TV or computer is near the window, and he felt like standing up while doing it.
I do it next to my window all the time, because of these reasons, most of the time, with my blinds open because my room gets too hot if I close my blinds, stops the air from coming in. Doesn't mean my intent is to have stupid little kids who may walk by see my ding dong.

If you can answer that with "Because he wanted kids to see him" then provide proof, I'll agree with you. If the chair in my living room is by a window and I'm sitting in it jerking off......see where I'm going?
Some windows allow full vision anyway.

Don't bother, I found it online.
At first glance, it seems extreme. "oh, he got sent to prison for just taking a cookie, how unfair!" It's not that simple, though.
He also BROKE into a restaurant, and fled quickly because he tripped the alarm. Most likely, had he been able to stay for the duration he probably was planning on, he would have had some money with him too. He had a cookie because that's all he had time to take.
Again, intent is what was in question with him, he didn't break into a restaurant to steal a cookie, obviously, his plan just got cut short. That's why he was sent to prison, not for stealing a cookie, but for breaking an entering.
