Enemy at the gates
Saving private Ryan
Platoon
The Pianist

What's so bad about them?

War of the Worlds!!!

Enemy at the Gates was shit. war of the Worlds is not a proper war film.
Where Eagles Dare is a very good war film that no one has metioned, did anyone else like it.

It's a TV series, but it's still cool---Band of Brothers

Well I think it won somehting for best miniseries/tv movie so technically you can consider it a long tv movie. Band of Brothers is hands down better then almost anything mentioned on this thread 😛

I was suprised they had shots of a guy getting run over by a tak.

Enemy at the Gates got 28th place, not bad. Dr. Strangelove on the list is even better.

i don't agree with the list though there is no way that Saving Private Ryan is the best war film ever made. stupid Tom Hanks

It has to be either Platoon or MASH.

There should be a movie about the battle of Kursk or a trilogy about the whole eastern front, that would be good

Dude what makes you think Tom Hanks is stupid?

I am just going by war movies of the last 25 years:

Platoon. It is such a great drama, realistic, and really gives you a taste of what it is like to be a soldier in Vietnam. I remember after the first time I watched it with a couple of friends, we were speechless after the movie.

If they did that, then I think it would cover Moscow Counter Offensive, the battle of Stalingrad, and Kursk.

I was pretty suprised to see how many people like Platoon that much. I reckon it was alright, but I didn't like it that much, and I thought most people would think the same or either wouldn't know it, but wow. (Same with Black Hawk Down).

The only thing I liked about it was the drama.

"We Were Soldiers" was so kick ass

Gladiator, like the baddie emperors's death! :death:

Windtalkers was another classic war movie

''Windtalkers was another classic war movie''

No it was just the too typical not classic by any means, it didint surpass any war movie on any kinda field

Black Hawk Down was amazing! My favorite!

Full Metal Jacket was hilarious!

Honorable Mention: Tears of the Sun, I love Bruce Willis.
