Moore eyes Doctor Who role
Friday, September 4 02:26 pm

Bond legend Sir Roger Moore is vying for a guest spot on Doctor Who - after learning his 007 protege Timothy Dalton has landed a part in a forthcoming Christmas special. Skip related content

After hearing his replacement was to star in the show, Moore has offered himself up to play Dalton's father.

He says, "I believe Timothy is to appear in one of the new episodes, so if they ever want anyone to play his dad, I'm available."

Ok, two trailers on upcoming Who stuff.

The first is the newly released trailer for Waters of Mars. Using a youtube link as the BBC link is UK only.

This second link was filmed using a camcorder at comiccon, and has not yet been officially released to the public. It is low quality and EXTREMELY SPOILERY! It relates to the specials around Christmas, Tennant's final storyline

ANY discussion of this vid must be in spoiler tags until the trailer is released publically.

You've been warned.

...What the hell's with RTD and fanwanking? I can't wait for him to leave. Can't stand Donna, want a new Master, and am tired of these long ass stories that retcon everything else.

Well, RTD is extremely popular, Donna is extremely popular, and I honestly cannot see what you mean by retcon- as if there is much of a canon to mess around with anyway.

RTD WAS popular, Donna was never popular, and there was a very strong canon, until RTD decided to be 'clever'.
And there have been many retcons. "You thought this happened in the classic series? WRONG! This is what happened, and the Doctor never felt that way ever!"

Er... sorry to break thuis to you...

RTD still is popular. Donna is very popular... and Doctor Who has never, EVER had a strong canon... but nor has RTD contradicted things from the classic serie sin any significant way.

It would be earth shattering if you were correct. But you aren't.

RTD still is popular.

No he's not. Not one review past season 3 has been positive, every reviewer I have read and every fan I know saying how much he slipped.

Donna is very popular

Same case. Nobody likes her.

and Doctor Who has never, EVER had a strong canon

...You're kidding around, right? Guess you never saw the show before.

but nor has RTD contradicted things from the classic serie sin any significant way.

Ha. Haha. Hahahaha!
Man, that's so not right. Season 3 began nothing but contradictions.

I have been watching the show for considerably longer than you have been alive. I know it inside out. You barely know anything.

You are simply spreading lies and untruths. Reviews and ratings for season 4 were very good. Popular support for Donna is also very good, as you can easily see at Gallifrey Base (formerly Outpost Gallifrey)... and even around here for that matter. The fact that Who has no proper canon is one of the most well-known and established bits of fandom, as you would know if you actually had any inkling as to what you are talking about.

And season 3 contained no such significant contradictions. Do you want to start putting your money where your mouth is and try to name them?

Or are you just loud and ignorant? Seems more likely. All you are doing is projecting your own wants and pretending that everyone else holds them too. Sad.

I want to see these reviews that say nothing past season 3 was any good, since just about everything I saw rated season 4 as the highest of the new series.

And Donna! w00t Her popularity probably rivals Rose's right now, at the least. A lot of people didn't like her much in the Christmas one she was in but I don't really know anyone who disliked her in the actual season she was a companion, and the reactions I saw to her departure were much stronger than that of anyone else in the new series.

Also...haha, someone telling Ush he doesn't know Doctor Who...that's a laugh.

Donna was never popular

That's very true when it was announced she was taking the role, but once people saw her in the role of companion, she was VERY POPULAR, I'm sorry but you are deluded to keep saying she isn't popular and liked as a companion.

When is the next Doctor who on?

Probably November.

And then december where Dave dies and we get the next Doctor...don't want Dave to go 🙁 he's my fav

The logo for next year's series has been revealed.

I like it(I do like purple though, and there is a purple tint in that logo), I didn't like the other font they used for the name, didn't mind the background, but the font, nope.

I almost gagged on the drink I was sipping when I read that. I don't know anyone that knows Doctor Who better.

Still not caring for it at all...

Moffat-assassis will come looking for you...

I don't like the design!

I'm very fussy on that sort of thing.

Mess not with the Moff-ster!

It's got purple in, how can you not like the purple. 😛

AHHHH Sarah Jane Adventures new series starts today here! yay.

Just thought I'd add that...
