Well, that was good stuff, with the Master on fine form and with the biggest nerdgasm end reveal of the revived series.
It DID contain some typical RTD over-the-topness (especially the Master's ultimate plan) and it can hardly be called hard, Firefly-style sci-fi, but sod it, that's Doctor Who for you. It contained a lot of other good stuff.
Odd for a Christmas episode though- will likely confuse the hell out of the average viewer.
I found it to be a kinda...weird episode, twice in this episode my heart was pounding thinking 'oh sh*t he's gonna regenerate!!' cuz I dont want David to go but he is, we gotta wait next episode for the regeneration and the surprise ending I kinda saw coming half way through the episode when you see the narrator who's played by Timothy Dalton which I suddenly realized and I was quite surprised. I am so puzzled about
Spoiler:
the return of the timelords, I'm wondering if they are gonna be clones or if they are real timelords who survived the time war somehow and I'm wondering if they are evil or not since they talk about the end of time. Wonder if David will regenerate by their hands or the masters
Well, if you say you saw the actual last 30 seconds of the ending coming without previous spoiler knowledge, you are simply a liar as it was out of nowhere. It is, as ever, slightly confusing about how if you think Who is always disappointing that you keep on watching it. You mus be determined to make your life unhappy.
And the Master was awesome in this story.

Oh PLEASE. The face of the narrator halfway through the special wearing traditional Timelord colors? Just because you couldn't figure it out doesn't mean I couldn't.

And yet I liked the classic series (which I still regard as some of the best science fiction television ever), seasons 1, 2, and 3 of the new series (which is also some of my all time favorite sci-fi), "The Next Doctor", and "Waters Of Mars".
You must be determined to make your life unhappy.
I have to ask: Why are you such a dick about this stuff? How come I can't like something without you making douchey assumptions? It's like if you like it, no one can dislike it.

Personally, I felt that the character was used specifically for priority sake, and that not only was the character given a new personality, but his resurrection was so full of plotholes that I'm surprised nobody stepped in one. Besides, the plot itself felt extremely small in comparison to what could've been set up.
"The Narrator was wearing a Time Lord robe" does NOT equate to the actual ending, and there is not a single person who will believe you. If all you are saying is that you vaguely hoped the Time Lords would return, then people guessed that was coming EIGHTEEN MONTHS AGO, not halfway through the episode. But what did you KNOW was going to happen? Nothing- nothing at all, because there was nothing in the programme setting it up. In fact, it did not even happen- it won't happen until next episode, presumably. It was just previewed via narration.
You are the one who said "disappointing as always." If you didn't mean 'always', why did you say it? And the fact is- you are the one being a dick; you are so every time you post in here. Stop saing dickish things and you won't be treated like one. There's never any sense or reason to what you say- you just come in, moan a lot and spout a load of ignorance, and then go all crybaby when your ignorance is pointed out. Your line about seeing the ending coming is a massive example of this attitude in action.
Luckily, as there is never really any snese to your opinions, they can be discounted, as people will do.
