100% true. Two episodes in, and I already want him to stay for a long, long time. He takes a lot of elements from previous Doctors (mostly the Fourth, Fifth, Ninth, and Tenth Doctors) and twists them into a character recognizable to the audience. The Doctor may be different each regeneration, but he always has a certain set of characteristics that span across all form, and Smith nails it.

He takes the Fourth's cleverness and jokes, the Fifth's kindness and yet quick reaction to danger, the Ninth's strong view on responsibility and understanding of a situation (sometimes getting dark and angry if he finds it necessary), and the Tenth's goofiness and fun.

For us American fans (and those who wait for it to broadcast on BBC America) this Saturday night is the night! Can't wait to see Matt Smith for myself, after hearing all the great reviews, I'm looking forward to his performance.

I didnt wait.....beerw00t

Doctor Who is on tonight! beerw00t

Indeed. A very interesting prospect about returning the Daelks to the Doctor Who storyline, but rumour I hear is that it is independent of the Time War Daleks. Heard plenty of crazy stuff related to how that might work. Also some interesting rumours about Amy in the episode... but I wont blow anything possibly spoilery until after it airs.

Well, we shall see what comes together here.

If possible, I would like to see Sutekh from the Pyramids of Mars come back at some point.

Well, the rumours were wrong about the Dalek origin- from the Time War after all- but right about Amy not knowing what a Dalek is- certainly interesting.

Episode was a bit underwhelming- also clearly one for the kids. I don't think the new Dalek designs will get that many fans either. They haven't had a rubbish episode yet, which is good, but I am waiting for them to nail one for me.

Matt Smith is still great though.

Still hoping for a Davros return. Really liked this episode, Amy not knowing who the daleks are was interesting and the crack in the wall at the end...this season is looking to be a good one 🙂

Obviously a tremendously awesome idea, though having already used Gabriel Woolfe for the Beast in The Impossible Planet, I am unsure if they are going to do that sort of thing again.

Also it would have to be a VERY good episode to do Sutekh justice.

You know, before the mystery revelation that episode was doing better, especially with the angry Doctor. It just never really got back into its dramatic stride after that.

Better than last week and some what cheeky in parts...Danny Boy to Broadsword...From the film Where Eagles Dare.

Daleks carrying files and making a cuppa! 😆

I hope the new Daleks are blown to hell,

Spoiler:
Chunky is one thing, multi colour schemes,
give me a break.

It was nice to see the power rangers in this episode... they were missing the pink one though.

I enjoyed the first two episodes more than tonights, but still liked it. Going well this series.

Next weeks looks fabulous.

the episoe was good. the highlight for me had to be the space spitfires

I really enjoyed the new episode. The new Daleks were a bit off-putting at first, but I grew to like them as the episode continued. They feel extremely dangerous, if not a bit scary. The older Daleks in the episode had some moments that gave me chills as well. The voices have improved.

I have a theory about Amy, though.

Spoiler:
I think that she's from Pete's World, and she got here through a crack in time, as will the Pete's World's Cybermen.

As I said before, the three villains I want to see return the most are Sutekh, Omega, and the Zygons.

Fantastic EP, it's a lot better than last weeks.

As for Amy I think either her history has changed or shes from a different time.

My guess with Amy at this point- and it is early days- is a bit more Castrovalva like, in that she is unknowingly some sort of set-up (re: The Doctor's references to a trap for himself in the trailers), and whatever artificial process has caused her to come to be is why she has no memories of these things.

Of course, any number of things in coming episodes could blow that out the water, especially if the trap line comes soon. Nor do I have any idea about how she could work as such a thing.

I still miss David but after each EP I am starting to forget him until I see him again.

I like the rawness of this new Doctor, the aggressiveness etc.....like him attacking and provoking the Daleks, He also uses a gun at some point. Theres also a quirky side.

There is some talk of that actually being a flare gun of some sort.

It looks like a real gun though.....oh well, wait and see.
