Official Doctor Who Thread

1 in 4 Who stories were always rubbish, though, and another 1 in 4 forgettable. I think the ratios are more or less consistent.

Much as long term fans like us dislike the 'grounding' (i.e. continual link to the family of the assistant), RTD justified it on grounds of connection to a wider audience, and we really cannot argue with the audience he is getting.

i know and i love the fact THAT theme tune rings out from households all over the country on a Saturday night just as it did back then but i wish hed go with a few risks instead of "risque"

Almost that time again! Who's ready to get their Who on?

...hehe, I just realized that could be a pun. Huon energy anyone?

*ba-dum-pssh*

I haven't seen anything that would suggest series three will be better than series two but as the old saying goes the proof is in the pudding. 🙄

we got another Dr - assistant snog coming
again

ill admit i leg into the living room whenever i hear the theme tune on the ads though

just got the RT

What the hell is BBC3 😛

Exterminate digital long live analogue 🙄

Less hype more action, got that BBC. 😉

David Tennant on Graham Norton tonight 10 pm
Dr Who SFX special in the newsagents with free TARGET book.........Target Who books....now i feel old

That wasn't half bad, actually!

It was good, apart from the over acting extras, urgh, awful. As for the rest of it, I really enjoyed it and so far I am happy with the new girl, her acting has improved since she was in that series 3 Dr. Who episode, thank goodness.

Average opening episode.

I think this country could do with the intergalactic (thug) police, soon sort out the loonies. 😛

I already like Martha much better than I did Rose...

Agreed, Martha looks like she'll compliment the Doctor rather well.

Decent plot, better opener than last season. Can't wait for the next one with Shakespeare and witchcraft, though...

Martha is good and I do like her chemistry with the Doctor, but she is NO Rose!

this is true they are by far the worst extras in entertainment history

it was ok
Tennant was excellent as usual and Freema was great but i hope they stay away from the family
the father was really irritating and at the risk of sounding un PC i dont want Dr Who turning into Dr Wa'happen

i dont know why RTD has to put the assistants families in there
we didnt need to know Jo Grants mum n dad

hy guys. i really enjoyed this weeks ep. the judoon i belive may have a important role this season. a few things i noticed in this episode. which could be like bad wolf or torchwood of season 3.

a vote saxon poster (im not sure who saxon is)
and also on further inspection of the offical Dr who site i noticed these.

judoon symbols

so yeah keep an eye out for stuff.

btw i forgot this but the face of boe still has that secret hmm

I do believe I already addressed that point with the 'grounding'... the odl times are gone, you need something else for the average person to relate to now.

If you check back, Stalker, you'll be the 'Saxon' thing has been going for a while now- already mentioned in Season 2 Who and Torchwood, and the Christmas Special.

he should give the average viewer a bit more credit
it just drags the stories down
i grew tired of Jackie Tyler by the end of ep2 series 1 and ive read the forthcoming sypnosis of this series and it seems that ma and pa Jones are getting fairly big storylines later on

i dunno if this has been crossed off but itd be nice if Saxon was the Master...anyone else seen the trailer on bbci that shows Simm?
id like something from the past other than Daleks this season for the older fans and i reckon we will get something but i guess they are keeping it hush hush like the return of the daleks last season will they pulled off nicely
Saxon is an anagram of AXONS but i guess thats stretching it as they were minor villians...ive also read that Mister Saxon is an anagram of Master no.six but again i think that is stretching it too
as i remember the master had used all his 12 lives up though im sure ive got that wrong
