As long as Tennant's around, I'm satisfied.

I've just heard that season five was secured, but won't air until 2010? ermm

Yeah, I heard that...umm...a while ago? Don't remember when.

Certainly thought it was weird, though...

hell prob go after the rumoured special feature legth eps in 2009

Well, that's the odd thing; one of the main things that caused this thing to be rumoured before it was confirmed is because Tennant is unavailable for filming for an '09 series due to stage appearances next year.

Of course, that would imply that they need Tennant, which in turn implies he'll still be around in '10.

It's very likely RTD will be gone by then, though, and previous comments from DT have suggested he might be gone by then as well so maybe the year off is not for that reason at all. One way or another, though, DT has been booked up for stage work for sometime.

The specials are not rumoured, btw, they are confirmed.

so theres no real break then really
just bigger budget specials as opposed to a 13 wk run
nice

Ah, well, a lot of people assume that. But they could be including the regular Christmas special in that, or even two Christmas specials (end of '08 and '09), so we will await more details.

some nice pics floating about from series 4
and great news that a series of vintage era Who figures will go on sale next year
about time

- Character Options have announced the first in the new Classic Series range of figures. The first wave will include four single releases and two twin packs. There is currently not a release date. The list is still under negotiations and approvals, but Wave 1 is currently slated to include:

The Fourth Doctor in his Red velvet jacket from the story Revenge of the Cybermen. This figure will include two interchangeable heads - one with the hat, one without.

The Fifth Doctor with short hair as seen in the story Resurrection of the Daleks.

The Sixth Doctor in his patchwork frock coat with short hair as seen in Attack of the Cybermen.

A Sea Devil complete with string vest.

A Zygon with the Skarassen control device.

Voc Robots from The Robots of Death. This twin pack will include SV-7 (Super Voc) and D-84 (Dum Class).

Magnus Greel and Mr Sin from Talons of Weng Chiang will be the second twin packx

Exiting news today because John Levine has been added to Collectormania in Manchester
What with Elisabeth Sladen and Nic Courtney at Blackpool next month to add to my Tom Baker signed ROBOT dvd this will be another good addition to this dvd cover.
Ill post pics of both conventions.

im sure we all know about this but for those who dont
were getting some old enemies back
i hope they dont stray too far from the original look

WHOO HOO!

Just for those who do not know yet, Doctors 5 and 10 are in a Children in need Doctor Who special next month, named 'Time Crash'.

Probably just a single scene mini-episode of a few minutes, but very notable nonetheless- first ever new series Doctor crossover!

Surley they will use cgi to make Davidson look younger
Troughton looked ancient in the TWO DOCTORS
Anyone see the new Who magazine cover with Davidson??
Lardy!

Liz Sladen has pulled out of the convention im going to this saturday due to "work commitments"
I wonder if the rumours of her being in the next series finale helping the Doctor alongside Rose and another assistant to take on Davros are true?

CGI- nope. But although he looks older he does not look at all bad. Moffat says there will be a brief reference to the age.

I spose it doesnt matter how he looks
i guess its on the level of the SW hol special and i guess it doesnt take place between the last ep of series 3 and the xmas special
shame they couldnt save the idea for the show and get Ecclestone and Mcgann back
but i guess Ecclestone aint the type for that kind of thing

Awesome! The Sontarans were about as brutal and awesome as you could get!

The Sontarans were too slow you could out walk them. 😆

But hey nice to see an old villain back. 😉

Hmm
Dunno bout the costume but the heads fine

visited the Monster Ball con yesterday
total crap but nice to meet the Brig and Ace

Just got back from Collectormania where i met the lovely KATY MANNING aka JO GRANT and JOHN LEVINE aka SGT BENTON who were both really nice, chatty and friendly.
Katy indicated she had recorded quite a large amount of commentary work for dvds recently so i guess most of her Pertwee era episodes are on their way next year,
To top the day off we spotted Russell T Davis in M and S in Manchester city centre .I showed him my signed pics of Jo and Benton and thanked him for resurrecting Who.
Top bloke.

Nice!!! The Children in Need special was so awesome, has everyone watched it?

Yes indeedy, very good.

Not much of a spoiler as im sure itll be everywhere by tea time
I guess The Suns "Doctor Who and three assistants" take on Davros rumours may be true then.

Nice new Christmas episode image up

Sad news about Verity Lambert too.

Dr. Who is damn good, I have watched both the old and new series, of this classic SCI-FI show, it is the longest SCI-FI show in exsistance, and when you have enemies like the Daleks, Cybermen and the Master you know you are on for a win.
