Official Doctor Who Thread

Yeah he has not been the same, I guess he and the Daleks have become more close, he sort of pleaded with Dalek Caan.

On a side note: is it true the Ood are returning?

The Ood are confirmed. The story has the working title of Planet of the Ood.

In the old days the Doctor would not have been so merciful with the Daleks, it seems he is broken inside.

Well before he found the Daleks as his enemies to be feared but not really that concerning, now he seems to be frightened or sorry for them, I doubt Caan is the last, there can never be a last.

I wish there was a Doctor who game, also anyone else feel that the Cybermen need to come from mondas again, and not copy the Daleks by screeching delete instead of Exterminate.

Funnny you mention this. I like the classic Cybermen. I am of course a child of the 80s so David Banks is my favorite.
I was a little disappointed when they came back in 2006 and were so radically reintroduced.

I found them rather vader like, the old ones were cool, the second lot with the slot mouth that just hummed, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee willllllllllllllllllllllll surrvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvive, classic, I never liked the new ones but as the Doctor said they exist in other dimensions and realms, those ones were just starting out but still, I would like to see the old mondas vader like Cybermen back.

I enjoyed seeing what is out there of the 1960s Cyber stories and did like them. But I am always going to be partial to the Vader like Cybermen. One good thing the new ones did do is explain how a Cyberleader can seemingly survive being destroyed, ie download his files to a new cyberman.

Yeah that was good, and the controllers throne was good, I like the William Hartnell cloth Cybermen, they were the first ones to cause the Doctor to regenerate.

Yes they sure did. Amazing that to date the Daleks have never caused a regeneration, unless of course they directly injured the Eighth Doctor in the Time War.

I was hoping we would have seen the Doctor lose a life via extermination in The Parting of the Ways but Super-Rose got there first.

Yeah it would have been good, if the Doctor and the Dalek emperor had a battle, he was a bit of a sell out, he did not really do anything other then have a short speech and say he was a god, the Daleks did all the work.

On another note, the Daleks need to be pure again, and the green clawed ones need to come back, the ones you never saw apart from a hand every know and then.

IF all this Black Guardian talk is correct, the pay-off would be for the Doctor Lite story, not the season finale.

It's possible that the plot guess is true but it's not the Black Giuardian, of course, though that would make the similarity of speech pattern quite a coincidence. Or maybe just a fan nod.

And what do you forsee for the finale?

I don't know much about this rumor, and I do not hope bets on them, it would be interesting to see the black guardian return, but something tells me he might be saved for a special, also to have TBG, you would also have to have the White guardian in there, however I shall not hold high hopes until more of this is fleshed out.

The Emperor was insane but still more could have done with them being the survivors of the War. At least when Tennant took over he did it on his own from day one. Eccleston's Doctor was too indecisive for my tastes.

I had half expected the emperor to say, I am Davros, last I checked he had become more Dalek then Kaled and was just a head.

Doctor 9 will be remembered for one thing... "Fantastic!!!"

Davros' activities in the War are unknown. He is out there somewhere, I wager. He is good at surviving as the Master.

Yep.

Well I have said pretty much everything I wanted to about this revival series. It's been fun, thank you.

Didn't last time.

I know, but he is the polar opposite of TBG, and in all fairness how could the Doctor truly defeat a god of sorts, bigger then Timelords on his own he would have to have someone like TWG to help him defeat TBG.

Again... didn't last time.

And you don't 'defeat' the Black Guardian in that sense. He cannot directly intefere so you just have to stop his machinations.
