USH'S LORD OF THE RINGS GAME PART 3- The Tournament and the Traitor

Anglomir could go undercover with the prostitutes, maybe? He's not of noble lineage, and I'm sure Menelacar can survive without his bodyguard for a little bit. On top of that, not sure if the ladies of the night have any interest in being bedded by a dwarf, so this makes Anglomir best for the job!

Anglomir bravely agrees to talk to the pretty women, eh?

I'm sure there is at least one who isn't all that pretty that he must weather. And what if they don't like him? Then he's really out of luck.

Ok, well, let's move things on ASAP.

Menelacar is actually pretty good at this social stuff. He confirms what he suspects, that Annuneryn's father was a bit of a Dunedan supremacist. However, he was also reputedly pretty unpleasant all around. The young Annuneryn is in the shadow of his father, but actually he's considered to be a bit of a wimp. They doubt he is aggressive enough to truly have the same traits.

Anglomir, spending yuor petty wealth for this story, yuo learn something fairly quickly. The 'discreet' whorehouses in use masquerade well as taverns, but if you indicate you want a aldy, yuo are given a silp of paper (or whatever) on which the name of the lady and the number of the room you should meet her in is given.

Then Anglomir will make use of this system of obtaining a lady, perhaps loudly declaring it to the bartender of the tavern if it is required. Once he gets the slip of parchment, he will go to that room.

While he's there Menelacar will also try and get the low down on the other Council Members, as well as the two Princes. (The younger prince is my other bet as the traitor).

Without having a lead to work on, you don't learn that much, Menelacar. Annuneryn is stern, Elendur fun loving. You get the same talk of the others as you have already heard.

I am sure you will have fun sleeping with the girl, Anglomir, but was there anything else you wanted from it?

Oh, I'm sure.

Anglomir wants to ask her if she has ever been with or knows anything about the man we found murdered (not that Anglomir will mention the murder). His name eludes me, if I need to search back for it I will.

Well, how is your Presence?

A sound Presence of 0, unfortunately.

Then you aren't particularly brilliant at this whole talking thingy. But she does say that she doesn't normally service noble clients. For some reason, that bunch of nobles keeps going to the same place over and over.

A-ha! bit more 'poking' around please Anglomir...

Are you footing the bill, then, Menelacar? By all means, please do.

Anglomir will become curious about this, asking what place she means and what she's heard about it.

I was thinking of going to the place they go to!

She will give you a name of a place. She actually doesn't know why they favour it- professionally, she is peeved.

"The girls are much prettier here," she says. "Certainly much classier!"

Shall we take a trip there Anglomir?

"Of that I am more than certain, if you are any indication, my dear," Anglomir says. "I have different business there. What is this place called?"

It's called The Winter Star, on the east side of the city.

Anglomir will bid the girl adieu and make his way over to the Winter Star, being sure to meet up with Menelacar on the way there.

"Apparently the Prince and his retinue frequent it often," Anglomir says.

"One would think a Prince wouldn't need to pay for such things," replies Menelacar.
