USH'S LORD OF THE RINGS GAME PART 3- The Tournament and the Traitor

By 'out back' I take it you mean he is in the building still?

It'd be good if we could find out which room he is in, maybe listen in at the door/window? Not if he is with woman, of course, more if that is a front for treacherous discussions with emissaries of the Witch-King....

Yes, in the rooms with the 'special services'.

Well, it will take a very good stalk/hide roll to do that...

Perhaps a bit risky then, unless someone has very good stalk/hide skills!

Elves or- of course- Hobbits are good for that...

As it stands, then... time is passing... yet nothing is happening.

Seems like the Hobbit and Elf are not for hiding and stalking!

Menelacar will ask for a woman and private room from the Innkeeper, in the usual fashion. He will try for a room next door to Elendur, or at the very least close by.

Make sure his hood is still up however.

Unfortunately, you have to go where they send you- and it is not next door I am afraid.

Be done quickly then try to earwig on the way back to the main room.

Tricky- there are guards in the corridor connecting the rooms.

OK - well head back to Anglomir, but be sure to keep an ear/eye out as I go past the door. Perhaps talk to a guard as I pass - "Someone important in there, is there?"

"Move it on," he says, gruffly.

Ok then....

William will get to stalking! Can he try getting to a window or something where the guards are not present?

Window, eh? Well, thete IS one... but it's not on the ground floor- even more of an issue for a Hobbit!

How is your climbing?

William is a very apt climber, actually. He has a score of 47 in Climb.

Awesome! Consider that a passed Climb roll- make sure you register that as an xp achievement! Likewise, you have a very much passed Stalk/Hide.

So, you see...

Prince Elendur is sitting on the bed in the room, clothed. An extremely beautiful woman- tall and pale- stands next to him, talking. He is saying things back to her, but you cannot make out what.

He seems a bit subdued, for Elendur.

William watches, cautious not to be seen in the window. He has a feeling that what he is watching is in no way going to become a graphic reenacting of the monster with two backs, so he continues to watch and tries to make out what is being said.

Indeed not; LOTR is a bit 'camera pans over to the fireplace' in that regard.

It's very quiet, sadly.

Could Will sneakily open the window a bit?

He can try, but that is a very difficult Hide roll.
