USH'S LORD OF THE RINGS GAME PART 3- The Tournament and the Traitor

Damn!

Is there another way to reach the street from here that may be quicker than directly following?

He can't take the narrow alleyways on that thing, is one advantage. But being a stable, the other side of it opens out onto a street.

...what about snagging horses for ourselves and following that way? Ellothiel's a decent rider, and as you pointed out, good with animals, after all.

By snagging you mean stealing...

Borrowing, really...

Want to know what the heck is going on here, and letting everyone get away is not going to help with that.

What can we see in the room? Is anything on Anglomirs leg?
Menelacar rushes in, steel bared.

Well, Gandalf stole horses (and not just any horse either) so you are in good company there. And being a horsey type, you can get going!

-

Sadly not the best move, Menelacar. And you in chainmail- eeek!

You feel a burning pain all over your body as you rush in- but not the burning of fire. Ice.

Get out!

Ellothiel is staying on the chase, then!

Anglomir will recoil away from the door, immediately regretting his decision to kick it in.

"A trap!" Anglomir tells Menelacar. "One of magic!"

Is there anyone on the other side of the door?

Menelacar, you have taken a 13C hit.

"Mild Frostbite. +5 hits (so that is 18 in all). 2 hits per round and -10 to activity."

Yup, I have wound tables for magic as well!

Note that unlike bleeding, you CANNOT simply bandage yourself to reduce that persistent loss. You need a healer (though a mild frostburn like that will wear off before it kills you).

Anglomir, you took ten damage, but other than the sock of the cold you did not take anything extra.

Menelacar legs it. Anglomir stays to get a look inside- so he sees the Prince, looking rather inactive as William saw him earlier, with this tall, dark, pale and beautiful woman by his side.

Whilst this means Anglomir sees his assailant, it does mean he's still standing in the ward of ice. Her blue eyes burn with a cold fire- and the ice rises up around him.

A 13 C for you as well, Anglomir.

"Strong but low blast. Stunned one round, Any footwear destroyed. If no footwear, lose a foot to frostbite."

Try a throwing knife Anglomir?

He'd have to draw it.

Can Gwilwileth steal a horse as well and be in on the pursuit? Though I'm not sure I was involved in the scene...

Anglomir recoils in pain and gets out of the path of the door, deciding that staying there will only mean losing a limb to the vicious cold that this mysterious woman uses.

When he can, he will draw a throwing knife.

How is Ellothiel's chase going?

Oh. Nice job posting in the wrong thread 😛

Meanwhile, Ellothiel, looks like it is just going to be you chasing this guy! Being more elf than human, you aren't sure about these weird saddle things they put on horses.

Still- what is the plan?

Hmmm. Try and catch up, keep up as best as I can, and try and get into a position to trap or stop him, I suppose?

Talin isn't one for horses as it is...

Just a straight chase then, Ellothiel? He is heading out of the city and has a head start.

Afraid you are rather late for the scene, Gwilwileth!

-

Anglomir and Menelacar- well, you are both out of there!

Throwing Knives?

Well, I doubt that there's any shortcuts that I could use to catch up that he wouldn't know about...and I don't think I'd be able to do any magic while riding (or if I could even do anything helpful there)...
