Ok well in that case, if its OK and not utterly stupid, I'll resume my conversation with Haltir, saying.
"Well, I was a friend of Vardalain, who helped rescue the Kings Daughter. It seems he has gone missing of late, and I want to find why this has come to be. Also the Lady Galadriel has heard rumors of sorcery in the Burial Mounds of the Cardolani Nobility, and she wishes me to investigate this matter. And therefore I am seeking the knowledge of the Nobility."
"I know nothing either of sorcery or the whims of your kind," says Halatir. "I am sure Vardalain will return when he chooses it. He was only here to watch on Arthedain anyway. He is most likely returned to Rivendell." He snorts.
"I'm a practical Man. It is Orcs and Hillmen the Witch-King assails us with, not 'Magic'."
As ever, Palidan, you don't understand this term 'Magic' very well.

Everyone is up to date. Aside from anything else, Arvedui wants Menelacar to help to show goodwill from the Gondorian angle. We've talen all that as read because frankly the set up for this game has taken longer than the plot will to play! You're never going to get to the dramatic wars that are coming at this rate, or even the re-creation of the Darth Maul fight my brother wrote...
Unfortunately during the Tournament itself the Lords will be in their own enclosure. You might be able to go over and get a word, but not generally sit next to them.
As far as going for a spontaneous word with people, it must be said that Menelacar is handy. He IS a Dunadan, you know. I mean, they have the awe and respect for Elves, but also a huge side-order of suspicion of your weird ways and motives.
"You as with most men, seem to use this term "magic," From my experience here, I see it as some vague reference to my abilities, yet you do not define your skill with a sword in such a way. Also I am afraid you misunderstand, Vardalain, was not found, yes, but his bow was, shattered, and there were tracks of many orcs in that same area. I fear he is dead or captured. But it stll is a strange occurance, as simplistic as it may seem."
